Your UI needs work the codex is flat boring and a pain to read. This should have been chalk full of videos showing each unit with all the abilities it can do and a clip of them doing it effectively as well as a brief description of it in practice. At the very least show the unit and all it's abilities in a 3d model view with a description underneath it. Slogging through the codex to learn how to play reminded me of why I never get good at civilization games. People don't want to read a 50 point essay on how to play a video game before they play it they want to learn fast and the interface needs to be made more modern and allow for better learning. I feel like instead of reinventing the wheel more time could have been spent on teaching people how to drive with it.
The single player map needs elite points on both sides the rush for the elite point in the middle felt like it forced a certain style of gameplay that not every faction is designed around trying to take that point vs a space marine with eldars starting units is an uphill battle to say the least and the monstrous value of elite points in the long run makes it seem unfair when you can't go head to head from the start to claim it.
