So I played and watched almost only 1v1s in beta, and most of the matches end in T1 or early T2 without any vehicles. Why I think this is happening:
In DoW1, your power income was kept "safely" in your base. In DoW2, you had your "natural" gen farm, and you only needed to defend that. So it was a viable startegy, even in 1v1, to try and tech fast, while maybe giving up some map control for the time being, to get out an early vehicle and utilize your tech advantage.
In DoW3, this is not really possible. Your power gens are spread across the map, and you need units to defend them. So when you go for more power gens, you won't be able to defend them all at the same time.
And the tech is so far away. You need ~200power for T2, then ~150 for the vehicle building, and another at least 250p for a "big" vehicle. Even fast land speeder is expensive and while strong, it won't turn the game around if you gave up majority of the map to get it (don't know about the Deffkopta, but Vipers are not worth it atm). The bottom line is that you have to hold out for an incredible amount of time with your gens spread across the map to tech fast, which is basically impossible in an even skilled game.
Now, I'm not saying that fast teching should be easy, but I think it would benefit the game if it was a viable strategy sometimes. Right now, it is only really achievable if you dominate the early game, at which point you could just press on with your units in T1 and the game would be practically over anyway.
So I suggest teching to T2 (or some ork equivalent) should be cheaper in terms of power, maybe around 100p.
