i try to make the beginning for Gamings in MvE.
1st at all: Main-Units in Earlygame:
-Sniper
-Banshee
-Dire Avengers
Counter:
Hero: Jonah, Angelos ( i dont know more heroes at this Timepoint, Sry )
Units: Servitors, Scouts, ASM.
I think its easy to count the Eldar if you know wwhere he comes from. Scoutsnipers in Use with Tacticals or ASM are best Answear against the most of these Units and the only thing you can do against Mass Eldarsnipersquads.
Please extend this thread, I'm anxiously on your experiences

ive got a 100% loss rate vs eldar, i actually am bored of facing them cant seem to do anything

maybe its a maon but i cant fight them 1vs1 in a fight , they're faster then me, so i give up map control to tech to "something" inwhich case they either force points/econ off me or pot shot me with rangers. i really am out of idea's now.
tried rushing asm doesnt really do much, flamer quads are okay but out ranged and generally out numberd

Already tried to play with Scoutsnipers and Scoutsquads/Stungrenades? you have just to hold until your Antimass-heroes comin on.. Jonah or Angelos. After that you have to try to make some fast vehicles like Landspeeder. already 2 Speeder kills nearly his hole Army.

I always struggle with that initial confrontation. Generally I start with the Tactical Squad and deepstrike an Assault Marine Squad. The Dire Avengers seem to have a shield, more firepower and more speed. It's very difficult to win the first fight and if you lose it, it's an uphill struggle from thereon in.

What to do vs Eldar on t2? Specifically Wraithlords and Wraithguards paired with Wraithlord Elite which takes basically no damage from anything and all this bunch under constant Webway effects?
Tried ASM, but they die in melee even with Wraithguards like flies, Dreads get shredded to pieces. Main problem aside from elites are Wraithguards as the do insane damage vs armor and infantry both.
Ideas?

Eh. Not a clue. Mass Lascannon Devs and Predator Destructors supported by a truckload of Scout stuns?
Far easier said than done though, and requiring all three production buildings...
To be fair, at least in large 3vs3 team games, I have actually had some success using Lascannon and Heavy Bolter Devastator walls in conjuction with the Terminators against Eldar. If the Eldar is bring some fast mobile nuker elites like Jain Zar though, it can really screw you up. I usually have a few Scouts left hanging around from early game so if the a Wraithlord elite is a problem, I really do just chain-stun it with them. Remember the Scout Stun Grenade works against anything that isn't a building.
Some of the disabling and pinning doctrines for Heavy Bolter/Lascannon Devastators, can probably help too.
Shhh. Quiet. They don't know that. They'll try and run away from melee anyway and you can get some free shots off.

That's an idea, but it happens in 1v1. It's brutal pain for me to beat Eldar in first phase, but by the second one they get even tougher and I just don't have enough firepower to hold that war machine alone. In team games I had success ganging up on them (because they are main threat and everyone knows is), in 1v1 I can't... Also they keep Scorpions with some Banshees, so any Heavy Weapons get their asses kicked hard and need too much attention in all that mess. Oh well...

Wraithguards are a problem in 3v3s as well. I don't understand why they do so much damage to both infantry and armor. And the sheer number of them that you produce makes fighting them with predators almost impossible. My only guaranteed solution in 3v3s is build four whirlwinds, scout stun and bombard them into ash and dust. The only problem is investing into four whirlwinds means you have to be pretty confident in your allies' being able to holdout on their own as whirlwind spam requires a very turtle and runaway style of playing. And also they are about as tough as toilet paper so one jump squad or even return fire from enemy bombardment will wipe them out.

I feel like ASM PS spam is really good against T1 eldar if you can get it out. I need to do a couple of test games against AI to figure out a proper build order but even when he got to T2 it seemed like it was a pain for him to deal with. Needless to say I had fallen so far behind I couldn't get back but the last stand in the Emperor's name gave me some insight :P What really gets me is how theyre able to spread around the map like a plague... I personally need more games to play to get a feel for them though so really all this is just my two cents

I tried Whirlwind spam in one of the team games and it didn't really worked so well. They do minor damage while Wraiths push forward and destroy stuff with their salvos. Only luck was when on of the teammates made himself a bait and pushed left gen side to engage x2 SM's. While he got beating, me and Ork jumped on Eldar alone and with help of Waaagh and Dreadnought + Deathstorm drop pods have been able to crush his army. Funny thing is, it took me full Orbital duration to kill Wraithlord Elite and he didn't even have full shield...
Regarding ASM, problem is, even with upgrades they die too fast, and Eldar usually have more support like banshees and for x2 Wraithguards, there's a at least 1 Wraithlord squad, which is pretty fast and tough under the Webway, who shreds ASM to pieces. Main focus of ASM is to disrupt and kill quick, they don't live long enough for prolonged engagement especially with t2 units, even with power swords.

Hello Space Marines, Eldar here. l can try and give you a few tips on how to stall the Eldar, but l haven't really played the SM, so l don't know a lot of details.
Now a good Eldar player will 90% of the times go
x2 Bonesinger, which can teleport, and that's how they capture the points so quickly.
x3 Dire Avengers, Which have the Plasma Grenades to knockdown enemies, Good at Range, Weak in Melee.
Webway Gate, while capturing and building DA's.
Warrior Portal, now from this point it's diffrent what people are gonna focus.
Personally when l play against SM,
Warrior Portal
x2 Banshees
x2 Dark Reapers
Quick Strike.
Now the reason l build Banshee is the fact that they have a Nice melee dps, so they have a chance against the ASM, and with a few DA's to back them up they can win most fights + they synergies really well with Scorpions, so if you see the Scorpion as an elite, expect the banshees. Most Eldar players also use the lmproved Screams doctrine, which makes Banshees Silence and Blind on Charge, disrupting abilities and damage. Don't try to outrun them, because that ain't gonna happen, if they have the Webway Gate nearby.
Try to determine, where the webway gate covers the most on the field, or scout it with scouts and workers, and then avoid it. lf you fight outside the Webway Gate zone, and can chain Scouts flashbang into ASM Jump, you have a really good start. The shield is strong, but the moment the shield is down, Eldars drop like flies.
The few games l've lost vs SM have been because effective use of Flashbangs into ASM Jumps or flamethrowers (Those things melts DA almost instantly, and focus fire on a single DA unit at a time. Building LP's to control a certain part of the map, and then go into Landspeeders.
And for GOD SAKE, Check your Stealth Vents. 80-90% of the time l can teleport a bonesinger into a Stealth Vent or the high ground right next to your LP or base, and just pummel them with Dark Reapers, until they fully engage without scouting and Jumps all of their ASM into an army of DA (Dire Avengers), Banshees and DR (Dark Reapers).
Hope this might have helped you or given you a small ldea of what to expect.

That's gonna be really funny but after some tests I simply can't win vs. Hard Eldar (all around offensive) on bigger maps. t1/esc1 no problem, I crush both their gens, control the map and smack them around pretty easily, but since AI must be cheating with resources, they still manage to get to t2 nearly at the same time I do, and after that I have nothing to stop them. Wraithguards and Wraithlords keep marching at me, doing insane damage and having loads of HP.
After that I did same with SM and Orks, and beating them is just way too easy in any composition. Not the best player in the world here, but something is definitely wrong with Eldar...
