Hi! I like the game so far, however I have been noticing an extremely intensive use of my GPU. I have an MSI 1080, which allows me to run the game smooth at 1080p and maximum settings. My only concern is that the GPU fan spins up to 90% after two campaign missions. That is unheard of. I can play Battlefield 1 for hours and the fan will never go beyond 60%. I find this very awkward.

Same After 2 campaigns (medium settings gtx 980m)

Their graphic engine is absolutely horrible when it comes to efficiency. My 1080 TI is reaching 70C which in all other games it barely gets to 60 when at max settings.

Same problem (high, gtx975m)

It feels good not to be alone.

My 980Ti's in SLI spin up to 90% almost immediately after starting a match, yet sit at roughly 40-50% use. But within an hour they max out, hitting anywhere between 79-81c even in menu and remain like that even after closing the game.

Turn on Vsync or W/e you use to cap fps.

In my case it was on. I lowered graphic preset to "high" (I don't notice any difference) and the situation improved drastically. The fan now spins at 50%. The culprit seems to be the anti-aliasing.

Hey folks. Nvidia have recently released a new driver which is optimized for DoW3. You can find it here. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

I have installed the latest drivers. That's not the issue. In fact there is no real issue at all. Even at the highest setting I get very good fps. I just marveled at how much the GPU is working. I think that I managed to pinpoint the cause to the anti-aliasing settings. At "low" the GPU fan reaches 50%, at high the fan goes up to a previously unseen 90%. I don't really see much difference between low and high anti-aliasing so I keep it on low.

@Valgua Keep the settings at low. Bumping it up to high enables anti-aliasing, as you mentioned, but aside from that there isn't a huge difference. You will get much better performance on low with only a very minor difference in visuals.
Valgua
Well, the problem is not really about performance (if you mean fps). I was merely surprised to see the fans working so unusually hard. I have not lowered all settings, just anti-aliasing. As you say, the difference is barely noticeable and the fans spin up to a more common 50%.
