And buff the tacticals and maybe devastators ofc.
I'm pretty sure everybody who played a bunch of games with SM is aware of them being OP by now. But just in case:
Currently its like: Want to counter ranged squads? Make ASM. Want to deal with melee squads? Make ASM. Want to counter vehicles or heavy infantry? Make ASM.
Want to harass enemy LP's and not lose the harassing squad? Make ASM. Want to deal with bubble shields? Make ASM.
Unstatisfied with your job or personal life? Make ASM.
The only things ASM are not that great against are some of the mid-game heroes like Gorgutz, Jain Zar and Gabe but a few well placed scout blind grenades or a land speeder deal with them just fine.
I for one am sick of spamming ASM and getting wrecked early game if i try something different and the opponent is semi-decent. Especially if the opponent is also SM and happened to make one more ASM squad than me.
Btw, if you want to make your ASM even more OP, there is a doctrine that gives them a "low-flying jump" similar to banshee rush only with less damage, which is avaialbe from the start of the game at no additional cost.
