You can capture SM Orbital Relay and with Orks, unless someone grabs it you can easily move out of the way or use devastator Pin doctrine to sacrifice a squad to stop it. But is there any such counter to Eldritch Storm?

It only slows when it has been merged with a conduit.

Nope it always slows from my experience
Well. If you've ever played Eldar and read what Conduit does it clearly states that it slows everyone in the area, so I don't know why it would be redundant.
storm is very strong against a less skilled player, but nearly useles vs a good opponent.
I say this because a less skilled enemy won't be able to QUICKLY spread and send his army into multiple direction, while a good player makes group from his whole army and with the storm you can only catch 1 group not the whole army if he moves them completely different direction.
Before fight use your control groups (CTRL + 1,2,3,4 etc). Separate your unit before the fight (makes easier to react the enemy skills, while not letting your army getting killed by 2-3 simple aoe dmg)
And when you see the storm on one of your group simple run or sacrifice that maximum ~ 2 unit while dealing dmg with the rest of your army.
1: Devastators are my go to REQ dump and they are too slow to outrun it.
2: I tend to use ASM/Dreadnaught drops to lock up Wraithguard spam, but every time I jump in the Eldar player will just storm on top of the guuards. This forces me to retreat at which point the guards can get enough shots off to really thin ASM numbers and wreck my dreads. I don't know how else to counter wraithguards. I only pray that my allies in 3v3s can force them to use the ability early.
Also I find a lot of the maps have very narrow paths and numerous choke points which makes spreading out and retreating more difficult than it needs to be.
Best thing you can do is attempt to spread your units in different directions so not as many get caught in it. If you're already engaged with the enemy, it's better to just continue attacking. The storm doesn't do enough damage to justify trying to escape it and the eldar are likely to take advantage if you try to move your heavy bolters, so just keep shooting.
If they activate the conduit, kill it. The lightning strikes are very dangerous, and the slow area of effect increases massively, so you can't really afford to ignore it.

That is such a clever strategy!
++heresy redacted++ xenos trickery. I don't even know what to say about that xD You're going to have to wait. Or run out of their range. Or drop an OB on them. That's so nasty, though, I've never heard of that.

Happened to me two matches in a row. Although it might've been me getting paired against same guy twice. Wasn't paying attention to the names. Just getting tired of end games becoming about trading F4 keys.

Well, if you have all 3 elites there's nothing left to spend the elite points on. I think you should be able to spend your elite points on a dead elite (on CD) instead of waiting for the CD to end. That way excess elite points won't always result in f4 keys, though, they also have a CD so I suppose you could trick the enemy into using it. I mean jump in with the ASM (maybe half of them) to feign an attack and then jump out when the storm begins. After this there will be a lengthy cooldown and now you can attack whole heartedly.

THIS!!! I TOTALLY AGREE. Elite points should be spent on re-summoning elites even if it's at reduced cost. Them being free after the first summon makes very little sense. The stacking cooldown doesn't do much because most games (with even a slightly competent player) the elites won't die more than two times if that.
I guess I can try feinting an assault to bait out the storm, but I hate how long it last. Kills the "surprise" in the surprise attack.

Oh my god... the death cooldown stacks?! Good to know.
The only thing better than a surprise attack is a feigned attack! Feints always feel like a waste of time until you start learning how to take advantage of a successfully feigned enemy and then feints become the best thing ever.
The announcer will tell you when the enemy Eldar are casting the storm. As soon as it tells you, spread out and bail out. It's usually obvious the target that is about to be hit so you can sort of guess where the storm will be. You then just do what you can to avoid being hit.

Sadly no yo hAve to spread out and move away..
Larkis
No. But the storm has less power then the rok/orbital relai and it coust double the elite points. So it seems to be balanced. Just run away and wait.
