Hi guys, just want to talk about Elites and how maybe they can be rebalanced in the future.
It would be ideal for the super units like Solaria, The Wraithknight and Beauty to have their elite point cost increased substantially because they can destroy middle cost Elites like Terminators and Assault Terminators quite easily with their special abilities and basic damage weapons.
Middle Elite point cost units like Venerable Dreadnaught, Assault Terminators and Terminators should get their Elite point cost reduced but their stats also rebalanced to reflect their rebalance changes. Units like Venerable Dreadnaught should cost 5 elite points or maybe even 4 but their stats are rebalanced properly. This would encourage people to try different elite combinations but not feel like they must win at all cost with their Venerable Dreadnaught or Terminator squad before the Super Elite units of the opponent get summoned.
Would appreciate more input and suggestions regarding Elites being rebalanced, hope we can work things out and the devs would listen. Also it would be great to make Elites gain more XP for winning game matches, like a special XP bonus for winning a online match.

I never thought the basic attacks of high cost elities where that bad. Yeah they are strong, but the Wraightknight isn't oneshotting tanks or anything.

I don't understand what you're suggesting here. A 10 point Elite should mop the floor with a 4 or 5 point Elite. I can field Assault Terminators far earlier than I can a Wraithknight, and that gives me a huge window where my Assault Terminators can turn the tide of the game in my favor. Once 10 point Elites hit the field, however, I can't reasonably expect my 4-5 point Elites to be as effective.
It's pretty basic imo, maybe I'm missing something.

Hey, do not forget that you have to take out a turret to get to the power core. Assault terminators for example need more troops to take down a turret, whereas the Super elites can lead the charge with less troops required. Depending on the tactics being used, mid level elites just do not exactly make their worth compared to someone who uses a cheap elite then just gets a super elite.

...Right, because Assault Terminators don't cost as many Elite Points as Super Elites do. The cost of Elite units is (generally) directly proportional to their effectiveness.
Again, maybe I'm missing your point here but I feel like this is the equivalent of complaining that Scout's aren't as effective as Tacticals so we should buff Scout's.

Yeah you miss the point, its not about buffing that I am talking about you see, its trying to make every elite feel right. I am asking for rebalance proposals not just buff, nerf is is ok if it makes things more worthwhile to take different Elites.

I think Deathwatch Killteam needs a buff and Striking Scorpions need a nerf. Or, conversely, reduce the cost of DWKT to 1 Elite point and increase the Striking Scorpions Elite point requirement by +1-2. Beyond that, I don't really feel like any particular Elite is over or under-performing in their respective roles. But that's just my opinion.

Striking scorpions only need need on their Hunt ability so they don't do double damage.
I would suggest elites have a req cost added at about 50 + elitecost*100. That cost should apply each time you call them down. That way solaria is also costing 1050 req each call down which will reduce the size of the associated army (or delay it) and more so if elites are being killed

Yeah no on the elite cost increase. Games can already be over before you can summon the 9 or 10 point elites. The elite cost balance is pretty much fine other than a few of the lower ones needing some tweaks.
