This post may be redundant with others but is there a solid build order agaisnt good eldar players ? My goto build is barrack on nearest ressource point, 2 scouts 1 asm in drop pod, deathwatch and one more asm before going to T1,5 with one tactical flamer, power swords, infantry upgrades and doctrine chappel to build lazors (beacause they are supposed to be good agaisnt falcons). Then some dread, T3 and tact + devs + preds.
Agaisnt a good eldar player I get abused from the get go: they teleport builders offensively on my side of the map, when my scouts are out to deter them they have they guardians (or whatever they are called now). Then they teleport their bloody gate on my side of the map. I can't get my blind grenade + ASM drop pod combo since they keep builders near their guardians to detect my scouts. They have mobility damage and tankiness, they are able to trade without losing reqs thanks to their shields.
At this point I've 2 scouts, 2 asm, and a listening post on both my "natural" points, the eldar gate is near me and all his forces in the middle near my barrack, he has a listening post mid. He gets striking scorps and starts transitioning into what their eldar heavy bolter, I get my killteam and a tactical flamer. He starts attacking my shield gen on the other side of the map, striking scorps melt it ! No way to hard engage he has more range dps and cqc dps than me, huge mobility and grenades. He then proceeds to blow my shield gen, go T2 and build 2 falcons which start to melt my marines. I get angelos, he gets Macha. I build heavy bolters and lazors but on a 1v1 falcon-lazor the lazor had the jump on the falcon, was able to shoot it 5 seconds without return fire, then go crushed by the falcon when it turned to face the lazor. He transitions into spam wraithguard and I transition into losing my barrack, second shield gen and all ressource points due to harass, high mobility and range dps.
Then he transitions into forcing me to leave and go whine on forums.
I need something to:
1) secure my natural ressource points in the early game without investing heavily into listening posts
2) deter his gate from teleporting on my bloody side of the map
3) Go toe to toe with his 3 guardians + striking scorp in the early to stop him to grab mid map freely
4) prepare for his falcon transition
1) TSM are bloody useless without costly upgrades, can't kill gates, can't kill guardians
2) ASM get wrecked by striking scorpions and are useless as soon as the first falcon hits the ground
I'm thinking about replacing the barrack by a doctrine chapel and going heavy on dev's but scouts are too good to forgo.
