They died easily before too, now just with a smaller boom. But I find it that I can use them almost as effectively as before. You still get the stun from the suicide bomber, and that is what counts. I'm certainly still gonna include them in all 1v1 (and prob 2v2) games I play!
Well, I think it depends on the map. Some maps allow for a more 1v1 centered early game, while some are made for a full on 3v3, where everyone should expect another enemy to attack them. On the maps that allow '1v1', I might still pick Stormboyz, just to win the 1v1. But in case of the more open maps, I'd prefer to save up for some of the bigger elites, like Zapnoggin' and Gorgutz. The kommando is also good in 3v3.
But yea, they aren't nearly as effective in 3v3 because of the high amount of units there are, which removes their strength of singling out vulnerable enemy units.
I prefer stormboyz csuse of there kamikaze for trukkz doctrine and to give my early boyz a little bit more push.
I mostly use them to slam the kamikaze into the enrmy blob and then i jump them on enemy ranged Units like (in case of marines) the devastatirs to bind them in melee while the boyz mosch the tacs.
Sure they make not much kills bjt there are a really could crowd control tool to take strong range units out of fight.
I have a question to orc player. Is it possible that the one shot from suicide bomb can destroy a full health bulidng or two shots can to destroy shield generator? I ask because
play two times with guys who did that and i wonder how it is possible...

I dont think they can twoshot a shield gen anymore, but the scrapped line fire stormboyz do more damage the further away they are, so they keep the unit super far away and fire.
For the shield gens you can more or less avoid all damage by keeping a worker inside the gen.
Just an opinion from average ork player (10th place in 1v1):
Choose stormboyz, if you could rush shield generator with them before 05:59 mark. Estimate your chances before the game starts: could you do it? If the answer is "Yes", than choose them. If "No", you'd better choose another elite and defend your own generators before Commando or Wierdboy will be deployed.
I've played many matches in ranked automatch with stormboyz, and I consider them useful, but not must-have elite. I am 95% certain, I could defend two energy points and two shield generators without 2 pt elite. And I am not so certain I could kill a shield generator quickly, if I choose stormboyz in a match against experienced, good player. That's why I usually skip stormboyz to summon better elite faster.

You need two suicides to kill a production structure or four to kill a shield generator. And, of course, it depends on escalation phase: generators get stronger with each phase.
With waagh they are really good
Yes, with WAAAAGH! effect they have 300 normal dps: just like nobs with tier 3 upgrades. But they are really fragile to compensate this.
Are they any good with the suicide bombing doctrine?
Kamikaze is better, because it has better potential for late game: it makes deff dreds more dangerous. With kamikaze doctrine you still could use suicide skill with stormboyz, the only thing you loose is a doctrine for trukks, which is cheesy and, in most cases, unnecessary.

Edit: They die so easily and barely able to kill an ASM or Banshee squad.

Looks like they are not meant for 3v3?
