Hi guys, last night some of my friends tried Eldar and said they cannot do what they did in the previous version to win now. I mainly play Space Marines but do not mind if I tried Eldar.
Here are some questions:
Thanks for any help in advance, please bear with me I like learning from forums to try to use what I have learnt in the forum to better my game play.

Hey! Welcome to the Aeldari forums.
I recommend Macha, Jain Zar and Autarch Kyre.
I recommend utilizing a heavy amount of Dark Reapers with Howling Banshees defensively defending them, do not use them to aggro your opponent or for vision (You need the shields 100%) use bonesinger to utilize the long range capabilities of Dark Reapers.
This will come with feeling as you get more experienced. The hard part is figuring out how to play the early game, which is now very based around your very first webway gate, and taking a defensive position. Do not be afraid to give up some map control to build up a superior unit composition vs. your opponent.
This is generally how i play my Eldar pre-T1

I am a fan of Dire Avengers, but they have been nerfed. Does any top tier players or experienced players recommend focusing on Dire Avengers now?

@Reposter
My normal build with Eldar DA.
2x DA
Warrior Portal
1x DA
(Battle for forward point)
Build forward Webway Portal
Teleport Warrior Portal to forward Webway.
1x Dark Reaper
Re-enforce and build 2x Dark Reapers
Somewhere in there, I usually bring out Scorpions to help battle Melee and take out Shielded positions.
Take it how you want. This build normally has me ready for SM strikes. Of coarse there is a bit of Micro to use your DA effectively to dodge drop pods and ASM jumps, but having DR to backup a DA front line helps. Make sure you have Webway in range for FoF or you are basically dead in the water.

@Reposter
It also depends on what you are playing. 3v3, 2v2 or 1v1. The above is for 3v3 and 2v2.
Reposter
Hey, I am trying to learn 1v1 Dire Avenger tactics, any opinions on that?
TOGgledShot
I don't have really any tactic for 1v1 since I don't play much of it. Sry. I mean you can try and use the tactic in 1v1 and see if it works. I'm just not saying it's proven in a 1v1 scenario.
Reposter
I tried experimenting with 2v2 before but against the casual AI before the patch. Eldar was quite powerful with the Bonesinger early teleport ability, but that has been nerfed. Now that they buffed Space Marines tactical squads, I think I need to rethink my dire avenger strategy. Is there any unit that can be spammed now for Eldar, like mass Dark reaper or mass shadow specters in 1v1 duels?
TOGgledShot
Not really. The whole reason behind the DA nerf was because they were too strong transferring between tiers and players didn't need to really build other units. They brought them down so that you would be forced to use other units that accompany the DA. Like having Dark Reapers with the Dire Avengers. Or using Banshees to tie up squads while you have your DA shoot at them from afar. For now you have a mix of units at the T1 and T2 stages.

Could you recommend a viable hero combination that has Striking Scorpions in it, cause I like Striking Scorpions and its a 2 point elite which is useful for tier 1 battles.

With DA, I think the key is you want at least 4 or 5 squads (no fewer than 3) in an engagement, preferably in Webway range. I would then make liberal use of their grenades, and let one of them get in melee while the others grenade the enemies tied up with them. One useful trick is that with grenades is that if you click/tap the hotkey twice, the squad will launch a grenade a the nearest squad, so you don't have to manually aim every time.
Beyond that, "dance" damaged units out of danger to spread damage around, and exploit shields as a way to outlast your opponent and leave the battle with fewer casualties, win or lose. Would definitely support them with Scorpions or Macha early game. The nice advantage is since you are saving on power, you can use that to tech sooner, though I'd recommend at least getting lvl 1 shield upgrade to make them a bit more resilient.
EDIT: One thing I've been toying with as well is using a defensive Psyker Blast with Macha, since that can give you a 75% damage reduction. Not sure if it is better than nuking a squad with it, though.
Cylian
Go melee with Macha along with some Banshees. It's Buff'n'Blast
Reposter
I am still a little blur, how exactly does Macha buff Banshees?
jonoliveira12
Supposedly gives them some damage mitigation on the area where the spear is thrown, but I have yet to notice any difference.
Reposter
Is this a bug, has it been reported?
jonoliveira12
I hear it is working, I just don't see it. Must be very little damage mitigation, or Banshees are just too squishy.
I think it is the Banshees. They are just too slow out of Webway radius, have no native initiation mechanic, and heavily depend on Elite support to be playable.
Cylian
Macha can soak up quite a bit of damage, so lead the charge with her, with Banshees following behind.
Throw the spear into them to knock them over, charge in with the Banshees and fire the Psychic Blast. Deals damage to them and buffs the Banshees around the spear.
And if Macha is set to Melee, she'll run into them as well. So if anything else shows up, cast Stasis and then either run away with the Banshees, or take care of the adds.
Thunderhost
Machas damage mitigation works by activating psychic blast and having own units in the radius. These units while then be under the effect of "fortune", 75% mitigation.
jonoliveira12
Ok, but is very difficult to get Banshees in the fight before the Blast.
Cylian
When in doubt, throw the spear and activate Stasis. It creates a Stasis line between Macha and the Spear.
jonoliveira12
I use Stasis as an escape mechanic, in case things go south, and I need to retreat.
Because Banshees are so frail, this in not uncommon for me.
Larkis
you should try it offensive. A good stasis could take 50% of the enemy units out of a fight and give you a huge advantage, cause you outnumber the enemy.
jonoliveira12
True, but it also makes them invulnerable. I do use Stasis offensively if I positively must win the fight, but I see better results when using it as escape, and avoiding unit losses, most of the time.
Absalon
As elites i take scorpions, jain zar and Macha
First units are 2 DAs
Next Step is to build some banshees as fast as possible
After that you need some Backup units build some Dark reapers and try a first strike. Dont forget the Updates for your units. First health second damage. So after that I begin with late game units like the wrathguard.
MrBenis
I even play in 3v3 with me and 2 hard bots against 3 hard bots and eldar just can't hold their ground.
Eldar is the worst race in the game hands down. How do you use eldar? As a punching bag in the SP campaign. Do not use them in MP
