I did not know if I should post here or in General, as I am not too familiar on how these forums work. If a Moderator finds that this is in the wrong place, please change it to the right section, or ask me to change it, I would appreaciate that.
These are my thoughts on how Eldar balance could go to make it more in line with the other factions, while still retaining their own personality, but achieving a more forgiving play style.
-Dire Avengers: I know why they were nerfed, but they are really underwhelming because of it. I suggest their shield doctrine goes up to 15% more shields, as a way to make it a more appealing choice, since it was halved and is not satisfactory to use anymore, so I would meet them halfway between pre-patch and post-patch.
I would also either give them the native ability to fire on the move (they are Dire Avengers, which are supposed to be good at skirmishing, not Guardians), or increase the time which they can attack before the cooldown as they do not get a lot of time to deal much in the way of damage in any early fight.
-Banshees: They are a bit too squishy, so I suggest either just making them a bit faster moving (this would maintain their low HP per cost ratio, but allow them to reach mass ranged opponents faster, avoiding some damage), giving them around 5% more shield (added survivability, needed for a melee unit that does come with a native initiation mechanic), or give them Quick Strike as a native ability (perhaps further nerfed, but with the Upgrade becoming something like Improved Quick Strike, to improve it later in the match to the point it is now).
-Vyper: These are overpriced, 125 Req + 125 Eng for a faction that already bleeds so much Energy. I like their stats, so I suggest they should cost something like 150 Req + 100 Eng, or 175 Req + 75 Eng.
They have no weapons upgrades, and are never used as of now, so I do not see anything wrong with allowing them some more viability, as far as pricing is concerned.
-Falcon: Good, but a bit too Energy expensive. However, if Dark Reapers or Vypers were a bit more useful, I think the Falcon's 250 Eng would be justified.
-Dark Reaper: No good doctrines, not as good vs infantry as Devastators or Lootas, and a bit too clunky and slow for a faction that is supposed to be all about speed. I would suggest halving their set up (or tear down) time. They really shine later on with lvl3 infantry damage upgrade, but it is really hard to get there in time, at the moment.
-Wraithblades: I think they should be T2, and cost less than Wraithguards, which are also fine at T2 (in fact, Wraithguards are one of the most satisfying Eldar units to use right now, and are still very balanced because of their speed and price). They are already slow outside of Webway radius, and Eldar could really use some T2 unit to handle Nobz mobs or Dropped Dreadnoughts, and I believe these guys could do the job.
-Fire Prysm: I didn't like it before, I don't like it now, but I also have no idea what could be done to make it more appealing.
What do you Eldar, and other players think?
