RTS_Cult was the first one i guess who play scout marine only in 1vs1 , until t3!
Overall i don't like the fakt that a strategies with 1 Unit spam are so strong.
I play all 3 Race's and the problem is, with every race, you got no decent AoE to clearup the Scout marine's!
You have to deal with 6-8+ Scout marine squads on min 4-6.
But you get no decent AoE first few min's. i mean even on T2 you get no unit against Scout marines.
I was trying flamethrower, the problem is -> stun granate and overall the amount of scout's.
Elite's get stunlocked, Only Ork with stormboy can land a Lucky bomb against a clumpy Scout army, but basicly it depend on your opponent if he fail or not!
Ah scout spamming Space marine get.
.) Map control , just cause of the amount of squads,
.) 0 Power costs for stunlock , work against every Unit/elite/titan
.) With the scout doktrin(bonus dmg after leaving Stealth) they deal decent dmg against infantrie, atleast with the first shot, and then stun-> run away or do what ever you want.
.) low req costs for scouts, and basicly no real counter to it in first few mins , if you spamm it. That allow you to build "greedy" power reactors. -> faster t3
And a t3 SM with 10-15 scout squads (hp upgrades+2-3) And the ability to drop 3 time . and the fact that you get the lead in the earlygame, is a little bit annoying.
Also cause Scouts are so cheap, you can push Vehicle Upgrades for predators!!!
So what im supposed to do?
Also turtling to t3? but how i should do that in the same speed as my opponent if i dont spam scouts?
i was trying early agression, but on "bigger" maps, its not so easy, and your opponent is just everywhere.
He will hav the double amount of squads as you.
I see basicly no other choice, then going also to mass scout's.
I meet since 5-10 day's alot of Scout spamm's.
Espacialy since LP cost increase.
It doesn't hurt you if you play scout spam .
I think, Scout's should cost atleast 5-10 power and maybe 220 REQ .
It would be still a usefull unit, cause stun granate and also the ability to scout.
But spamming scouts until t3+upgrades are not so easy anymore.
or atleast, the t3 will not come so fast, and also the HP upgrade.
The biggest issue is.
Scout spamm cost you 0 power, and you can go to t3 pretty save.
With tier2 you could build some laser dev's if your opponent goes to vehicles, and again you can stunlock everythink in this game!
So engaging a SM with decent micro + Scoutspam near a Shieldbubble/LP will cost you the game maybe.
If you techup, and get a "decent" army but you was not able to trade in the earlygame.
You have to deal against 10+ scout squads + Elite by min 10!
Min 13-14 your opponent will have
12+ scout squads (1-2 hp upgrades)
1-2 Predator's t3 flag, and 3 drops ( dmg/hp upgrade)
And then, Repairing cost nothing in this game.
if you commit to hard into 2 tank's and he is able to secure this into his tower , he lost NOTHING and you alot .
and escaping for a tank, with 10+ scouts + 2 elite is not so hard....

A well positioned kill team with your own 1-2 scout squads can devastate the early 5-6 scouts squads.
Also a lot of players started to learn workers a lot better vs the scouts build and that does wonder. As long as scouts are revealed their dps is very low. 6 scouts squad got 66 DPS, that`s the same as 1 and 1/2 TSM squad so basically 8 TSM models do the same damage as 30 scouts with their normal dps.
Yesterday I lost vs bikerush and vindicarex Eldar using this strategy. Basically a well played macha can demolish the scouts army since it`s really hard no to blob scouts when you go for a large amount of squads.
Take a look at game 215 and 216 from my last stream and see how well they managed the scouts pressure, specially vindicare in 216.
I know scouts are amazing, that is why I use them. What I find it most weird is that I am the only one doing it when everybody keep saying that it`s the best and most broken build. I also struggle vs good orks like Yogimanz and Bhrui, but then again all SM players struggle vs them.

2x tacticals, 2x scout and 2x ASM would be my suggestion dealing w/ mass scout.
