These skins and map look AMAZING! Cant wait for this. One question: Do the campaign skins take on army colors? That Codex macha looks SO GOOD with the helmet, I want it in my army colors.

Its not "instead" art/3d design team has nothing to do with the games balance but rather a problem that Relics Quality Assurance + Balance Team is circlejerking eachother in 3v3 games in a closed enviroment against eachother, how some things got through all the way to this state of the game has to simply be put into incompetence on Relics side of things foremostly in identifying what the actual problems are.
Skins is nice, a sideplus. Wont bring in any new players to the game, nor will it help the player retention from leaving.
Hurry up with the balance patch will you?

make waagh towers cost 150/100 and make nobz cost 200/250, issue solved... make scouts cost 300 requisition, give bigger CD on cluster mines and stun grenade. make killa cans scrap upgrade go to 5 rockets rather than 6, and decrease abillity damage by 25%... decrease waagh damage by 10% or so...
I find it funny when people act like the game is "broken". The balance right now is WAY better than it has been in the past.
The game has been out for like 3 months, and has now had 2 major balance patches, tons of new cosmetics, 2 new maps, and a new game mode. WTF people, thats more updates than Ive seen in any other game in that short a time period. Calm yourselves, you realize all this stuff takes time?

It's not bad, it's ++heresy redacted++ horrible, but patience is a virtue I guess, though I gotta admit, I think Relic broke game with hotfix... again.
Can't wait! Helmeted Macha looks fantastic. Really looking forward to the map as well, since I honestly think that the maps are the best looking they've ever been in DoW.
Also, I dunno how difficult it would be to implement--and people have brought this up before--but it'd be cool if there was an army painter option for the Eldar that let us disable their aspect shrine colours. As unfluffy as it is I'd really like to see my aspect warriors wearing my colours a bit more prominently, like how they did in the previous games.
Though Striking Scorpions would obviously be exempt from this since I really can't imagine those units being anything other than green.

Well I understand you, but Aspect Warriors have own sacred colors. So it makes sense for me that they have fixed colors to make them lore-friendly, even if I don't care about lore so much when it comes to WH40K.
We need some skins for completing the hardest campaign mode. and another skin for mastering all elites of a race. That's really showing your banner/colors

Also halved and quartered paintscheme for SM, more customizable colors for Eldar (and Ork maybe?), plus few more faction insignias, and name of it to be seen by everyone. That would be all I need in terms of customization.

Thanks for your comment. There are a couple of things to consider here!
We had a lot of leeway with the skins that we'll be releasing in July, but for certain units (whether that's an Elite or a line unit), there are some pretty obvious lore implications of changing their primary colour(s). We work very closely with Games Workshop on how all characters look, move, and sound - and skins are no different! A lot of conversation and back and forth goes into determining where the sweet spot is - that is, allowing for better customization options, while still respecting the setting. The line units you mention fall on the stricter end of that scale. So we can't take them any further at this point.
@Kat_RE though I agree with @stoner that it would be great if we could get some of the cannon half-and-half and quartered paint schemes for Space Marines!
Finally, after so many years I lived to see a generalized skin for a commander, and not having to fight with the same story hero for each army. Keep the new content coming, can't wait to see some army/chapter skins. I hope you'll also fix that WarpSpiders achievement finally.

I also actually like the idea of having to unlock skins. Releasing a particularly epic skin for a large some of skulls (I'm thinking over 1000 at least) would give players a way to "show off"

One of the best ways to get people back into playing, or indeed to start playing, is watching exciting and/or well played games. Some of the most prominent youtube casters such as Indrid use replays to cast games, and currently any updates render all replays preceding the patch unplayable. Frequent patches are fantastic, but if it's the case where they are hindering some of the game's best promotional material they may be becoming something of an own-goal.
with the main complaint about the game being lack of content, skins wont help in any way. instead you could start allowing the community to do content without a million restrictions, like allowing SCAR on custom maps.
That way you can have stuff like last stand made by the community. Starcraft and warcraft are great examples of that, SC2 remains fresh for people thanks to the amount of content being created. CoH1 is still alive thanks to that aswell.
So far the only thing even heard about mod tools was being told that they will be shown some weeks after release, in the preorder FAQ.
Why does Relic not integrate servers? On Asian servers, matching takes too long to play. Sometimes it can even be matched in five hours. The previous works were server consolidation. Why is this server divided? Asian users are suffering from too long matching time. Relic should be server consolidation unconditionally.
And you have to add observer functions so that users will be able to open the tournament and watch the tournament. Then users will be able to prevent some deviation from the game, and new users will be able to enter. Why did StarCraft 1 fall in Korea because the competition was down.
Nice update, I think balance patch shouldn't be top priority. Many may disagree but I think the next balance patch should be when the next DLC race comes out. As the balance will go out of whack anyway once a new race is released.
Keep up the good work maybe with each patch add more cosmetic options adds a nice personalized touch I think everyone apperiates.
