Hey, everyone!
In addition to a new map, we’ve been hard at work on a ton of new skins to provide better customization options for the Elites you bring onto the battlefield. Deathmaw
The colour customization looks good, Taldeer especially looks really nice! However I have only received the Tartaros Gabe skin from finishing campaign. The other three haven't been awarded to me. I completed the campaign on Normal weeks ago.

@Deathmaw Since we're rolling out the items to all players, the skins and portraits will be unlocked throughout the day. It's not uncommon to have some unlocked and some still unlocked as the server catches up in granting rewards to everyone.

Just checked, got 'em all:

WarpSpiders achievement still not fixed, sadly. looking forward to it in the future.

@Kat_RE any word on the following two bugs?
1) Tactical marines with Plasma gun upgrades cannot throw Frag grenades while the plasma gun is on cooldown.
2) Imperial Knight Elite's Long Shot ability is doing double damage to Fire Prisms; killing them in one shot.

Loving the new skins, but I do have one minor issue...
Macha's cloak doesn't show exotic paints correctly - for example if I use Rokkit Burna Orange for my secondary colour, then Macha's cloak shows as the red base colour without the orange tint. It's a shame because for a lot of colours she doesn't match the rest of the army, and also that particular paint is the only really vivid orange.
@Kat_RE do you know if this is intentional or a bug?
Ace40k
really really great patch! thanks a lot, Kat! but i need to ask this: i thought the new skins were all fully color customizable. but Jonah's elite skin looks like this?
in my eyes, that's a bit underwhelming. apart from that, i love all new skins. my favs are probably Custom Macha and new elite Venerable Dreadnough
Draconix
I think Librarian lore-wise is supposed to be mostly blue, just like Chaplain is supposed to be black. But what who likes after all.
CANNED_F3TUS
It could be intentional because cloaks are made of wool or textiles if its shiny you are lookin for i dont think they put that in consideration and wanted cloaks to look realistic.
Mrjenkins44
I logged in after the patch and all my saves are gone.

@Ace40k Dude its a FREE skin of course its underwhelming... If u want sth like arcana skins u will need to PAY for it they aint giving good contents out for free u know? Expect the DLC to bring some insane skins like Pool Party Macha for 30k skulls but now, plzz stop complaining and just enjoy the FREE content they r giving

Can't wait for bikini Jayn Zar!
Keep the mask on...

Sure, I understand why it happening, but my issue is that the colour doesn't match the rest of the army. I don't necessarily want the cloak to be shiny, but the difference in colour means that if you want Macha to match the rest of your army's colour scheme, then you are much more limited in your options and in my case have to change your entire colour scheme. I get that this is a minor issue and probably not important to a lot of players, but it still kind of sucks.

Skins look great! In particular loving the chaplain venerable dreadnought!
I do have one thing to report though - the UI changes (while greatly appreciated) have resulted in a slight irksome issue with the campaign. With characters that are preselected in levels, such as Gabe, you don't seem to be able to change the elite doctrines without going back to the elites tab and changing it, then going back through the mission briefing to reach the pre-mission screen again.

What I don't understand for the life of me is how GW allows complete repainting of such units as Chaplain, Librarian and Jain Zar but forbid repainting of Aspect Warriors, this doesn't make even a slightest sense to me... That being said, I'm in no way against being able to repaint ANY unit (more customization - the marrier), but their policy here is strange at best.
Gorb
Maybe this will help, @Stoner. It's not a comprehensive answer but it's a good insight into how Relic and GW work on this together.

Has anyone noticed that the Kustom StormBoyz are always random? Random heads, weapons, rokkits and armor. Every time they spawn even in the Elite menu they're always random. GOOD JOB RELIC!!
RedDevilCG
I did not notice that. I gotta check it out when I'm home.

Relic Shame on you for steadily ruining Dawn of War...
Dawn of War 1 with expansions is amazing all you had to do was improve it...
instead you strip content down to the bones and tac on little pieces of crap... T_T
why did you ruin Dawn of War? I don't understand...
It just makes me so sad :''''(
each game you just make it worse...
why couldn't you just do the right thing...
Dawn of War 1 with expansions is so good and you keep deciding shaders are more important then gameplay T_T </3 x_x
HARRYY
RELIC,
DONT FORGET TO APPLY THE SCOUT DOCTRINE (SCOUT STRIKE) TO SCALE PROPERLY WHEN YOU CHANGE SCOUTS RANGED DAMAGE
ORKS ARE OP NOW, DONT TRIPPLE NERF !

It's not that simple; the maps were designed with a locked camera angle and so certain assets are not fully textured on all sides. If they decided to allow 360' camera rotation, a lot of map work would need doing.
