I have some suggestions about DoW3.
Part I - Morale
I think the problem of DoW3 is players have little room to manipulate the tide of battle.
So, I think we should add the morale system like DoW1 back.
How does it work?
When units got low morale and then they will have speed buff (Like + 20% movement speed), but have damage debuff(Like - 80% damage).
Players have to put those low morale near the buildings or elite units to increase the recover rate of morale.
Part II - More SP
For now, there are not many SP on the map and there are not much room for players to harass enemy's economy.
So, I think we should add more SP to let players have more room to harass enemy's economy
Part III - Resource Decay
Here is my speculate about why there are few Strategic Points and Escalation Phase：
[I] Due to the always positive resource increasing rate, if there are more SP and then it's more easy for players to snowballing.
[II] So, Relic goes to reduce the number of SP and add the escalation phase to compensate the "Losing Side".
But why don't we change that?
We can make the Resource Income Rate become like a "parabola".
[I] It's like the combination of DoW1 and DoW2.
[II] When players captured a SP and it has a normal income rate.
[III] Players can hold the SP for a while and then the Income Rate will increase.
[IV] But after a period of time, the income rate will drop and decay.
[V] The situation will repeat by the next recapture action.
For example, player A captured SP1 and then the normal income rate of the SP is 40 and player A hold the point for 1 minute and then them income rate becomes 60, but after 2 minutes the income rate will decay to 20. If player B captured SP1 and then the income rate will become 40 again.
The core concept is that the Conflict Degree is proportional to Income Rate.
What's the benefit of it?
[I] It can reduce the snowballing situation. One player can hold a lot of SP, but if there is not much conflict and then those SP just provide low resource to him. Although the other one player has less SP, but he does not have to spread he less army on the map.
[II] It can help players come back without the escalation phase. The escalation phase only help players recover from early games but not late games.
