Have you seen them? Those lil' punks 50R for each that rages through 1v1 these days. Yes, it's them. An absolute trend. They can lock the whole 400R unit, halving it's damage, at least, if not turning it completely useless, like they do with Lootas\HBD's.
The thing is, they are making extensive micro involving them a dominating option over the other control schemes early-game. Facts: 50R Servitor will halve TM's DPS, 80R\60R per unit, while Servitor got 60 more of base health. Fight over the Standarts in SM\SM matching is already worth 20 APM at least, while Servitor's charade, involving those convulsing moves of Snipers\TMs trying to get away from them, allow to extend this threshold to 40 with 3 non-worker units are on the field. It gives decisive advantage to faster players, which is, hopefully, can be leveled by the simple meta-choice - ASM's.
Sadly, there is no such choices in SM\Eldar matching. You can't have both ASM's and HBD's early in the game, but you need the last ones as the only "standing" choice - if you aren't as fast with the input as your opponent are - against the simpliest DA's regime, consisted of getting away when shields are nearly depleted and dodging grenades, jumps, freeing themselves with grenade. Yes, BS compliments too well in it.
So, regardless of other changes that have to be done in line with this
I propose to take away melee capacity on all worker units or shift it to T2 - anything, that would lower number of units involded directly on first engaments. Faster players got too much of advantage early thanks to their, ehmm, superrior (there should have been the other word) micro making it the best and only possible investement of player's time which, sometimes, eliminate other processing choices, leaving build-order managment, mind-games, sequencing off board.
It's not only CS:GO champions playing this game. And the current situation is way beyond of what it was in CoH2 with Maxim spam. Top players can learn some other tricks to applicate their great minds in the game, while more common players would actually feel the other sides of DoW3 rewarding them (no, I'm a clicking monkey myself and got a chance against some of my kind; it's just doesn't feel any great to win some guy who showed good approach and might have win should we've been starting with 2x of resourses or on 1\2 of speed; and, yes, it's frustating when APM is the only thing that matter).
By the way, I suggest that this thread shouldn't be about Eldars and BS purely. If you have a better way to lower input influence on early game - that would be the best way to contribute to the thread.
