Hey guys,
to stop the critics regarding the missing sync kills, here a suggestion to implement it into a more strategic way:
when performing this they could get some "XP" to buff the units around them in an area of effect radious, this means:
Friendlies get an increased leadership bonus (more damage e.g.) and foes get the opposite, cuz the unit performed some strikes against them, which were a "statement"
the effect just stays for a short time, so the player needs to use this ability again to gain this boost on his troups
I hope there will be no implementation like "make this unit be immune to damage for the x seconds of animation", what I could read in some Steam threads.
This is still an RTS game and not an no-brainer-gore-simulator.
Cheers

Your suggestion is outrageous it doesn't fix the major reasons people disliked sync kills and further adds in more demerits. Dawn of War 1, 2 and 3 are all still fundermentally a RTS game with or without sync kills. Your "no-brainer-gore-simulator" is an insult to many warhammer fans and I would dare you to argue with me at how any of the previous Dawn of War games were "no-brainer-gore-simulator".

What kinda insult? Ok, maybe those who wish for that feature are insulted. But I think those who ask for a triggered god mode, while performing some kills do insult themselves when aksing for that nonsense in a RTS title.
Maybe reading it again makes you switch off your diva mode If not, try to eat a snickers

He seems to be having a rowdy day today but I wouldn't put it past him, he's probably an ok dude.
However I don't like you suggestions at all, a sync kill locks down a unit, making them more vulnerable makes no sense whatsoever, they should get a damage resistance.
There's no exp system in the game, but I'd like to see it introduced, sync kills shouldn't give buffs or debuffs of any sort imo.

Killing unit in the middle of sync-kill sounds hilarious. I just imagine a face of animator who needs to set it up right now...
On serious note - no matter how we're missing it, sync-kills have no place in real-time online game like this.
