Deathstorm Drop-pods are overly lethal (more so than most ultimates) but do not scale well, becoming useless once heavier vehicles arrive. Their ability to vaporise your infantry makes them frustrating to play against but they die too quickly, do nothing against vehicles, and take too long to build to be regularly used.
A possible solution:
- Damage reduced from 14 to 6
- Damage type changed from Normal to True
- Health increased from 1000 to 2000
- Cost reduced from 500/50 to 200/25
This would make Deathstorm Drop-pods less lethal against infantry but allow them to scale through better anti-vehicle power and durability. Reducing their cost makes it efficient to use a Deathstorm Drop-pod as a quick defense against harassing units or to bolster an assault but the significant build time (120 seconds) prevents them from being spammed.
