What can be done against 3vs1 or 2vs1 gank teams? Maybe defensive strategies that can cost you the game?
I've seen it happen where a gank team of worse players can beat a way better player and make them look really terrible. Even if you happen to be the best player at 1v1, microing, etc.. there's times where you can just be 2vs1 and have no chance of doing anything about it. I've seen bad player strategies where one just spams scouts, one just spams a backup unit, and then some other strategies that won't work at all in 1v1.
Obviously we play on the lobby as friends, but tbh whenever I do that, it's like an easy win within 5 minutes and so I tend to avoid that sort of teamplay. It's just a known win time after time against worse players. I prefer to have at least some kind of challenge and mix-balance the teams, but a lot of these team ganker people seem braindead, egotistical, or plain stupid.
It seems kind of like a joke, for example there's this game that pops up "STD NO NOOBS" and even though I am individually better than all the players, it would just be a boring 1vrs3 festival most of the time, so thus I don't even bother joining because they would probably just call you a ++heresy redacted++ for losing even if your stats were better than all of theirs combined in a full on 1vrs3.
It just seems kind of annoying, bad players can gank up on you and say "NO NOOBS" allowed when you were actually always better than them for months. The probability of winning when stacking players is a bit too high, they'll just take resources, take map control, then 2vrs1 you at some point because the odds of your random teammate being bad is too high.
That attitude is frankly true toxicity from 'actually bad players' because they probably realized they cannot contend fairly, and also scares away new players. They try to crush the other players, because they don't mix-and-match their own players out of pure fear of what team balance or a 'fair fight' would do to their fragile egos.
There's no way to check ELO of players and see how good they are; some of them are terrible yet feel justified saying things about how the game is and so forth.
Just based on the premise that so many players are terrible and don't know how to react to a properly executed 2vrs1 or 3vrs1 style of play, their chance of winning is just higher by stacked teams, and they tend to instead just insult the other players, call them noobs, yet some who might actually be way better than them with bad teammates.
There isn't much you can seemingly do when a full 2vrs1 push comes your way and your teammates are all bad.
In the end it's just a game, but it's troubling to see bad players deluding themselves so hard and then basically pretending to be skilled, talking about "noobs" and saying they are suddenly good when they have lost for months, and now refusing to 1vrs1 anymore because they only win on teams.
It's almost like watching another case of humans who aren't skilled at anything trying to cheat at life to get the things they want, simply sad to observe and not worth engaging those individuals at all.
