Where are all the units for the orks and the other races , where is the Looted tank ?.
where are the weapons the melta cannon for the deff dredd the rokkits ?
Relic basicly didnt want to saturate the unit roster with units of the same roles but varying effectivness causing early game units to be pointless to build later in the game. It makes sense but they still are missing some units that could fill unique combat and support roles (probably will be available eventually relic did this before)

Uh in dawn of war 1 and 2 you would still use basic units because of limits (DoW1) and the cost of the units (DoW2), Flash gitz, sternguard could be limited or just cost a lot.

Yeah you are right. i mean there were units that were just better across the board in DoW 2. They just screamed (spam me and win) This is more pronounced with some races than others. SM was the one race where the tactical marine could scale all the way to late game because of its ability to switch roles and had really good veterency scaling over most units in the game) But a few examples for ranged no brainer units that trumped pretty much anything in its class would be Chaos plague marines, eldar warpsiders, storm troopers if you have guardsmen to blanket them and they were the ultimate fast tech unit the guard could have. 400 requisition cloak, very good range DPS buff option or brutal AV potential within 15 seconds ruffly and fairly quick jump to T 3. These are just examples. But i think im talking about another subject and that is just cheeze units to build.
