how about letting us to decide how many req or power generator we want to build on a resource point? (with maximum of 2. for example on a 3 nod resource point we can build 2 req gen+1 power or 2 power+1 req but for a 2 nod resource point we can build 2 req or 2 power gens or 1 req+1 power)
this will allow players to choose early game rushes (by building more req gens) or faster tier-up strategies (more power gens)
sorry for bad english

Sweet idea but this wouldn't affect the current meta...
Katitof
Number of gens is also balanced around intended tech pace.
You're not meant to tech too fast, remember? What you're suggesting goes exactly against latest changes and given how stuff is priced in game, with that we'd never see a singular infantry unit past mid game.
S4ngetsu
That's wrong. You CAN'T tech to fast because otherwise you get blown away by requisition spammed and lose.
This change wouldn't change anything.

So riddle me this:
What's going to stop me from going all power late game and spam fireprisms/predators/big trakks until the end of time?
That's one of many reasons why the idea is bad.
Ever wondered why in SC2 you can't build 100 gas extractors around your starting base to accumulate buttload of gas, but are limited?
Exactly the same reason here.

@Katitof maybe im wrong but i think this change wont break the economy system.right now in some phases of game we have high amounts of req with low power and it limits lots of strategies
Katitof
That's how its supposed to be.
There is always supposed to exist solid infantry core supported by armor, not tank exclusive armies.
Relic RTS games are always designed the way, so infantry does not lose relevance late game, contrary to most other RTS games, where infantry is used exclusively for early game rush or defense.
Current resource distribution makes you to build core infantry force supplemented by vehicles.
OPs idea makes it incredibly easy to ignore infantry completely and just spam and spam heaviest vehicles possible, which is not welcomed and the only thing that would prevent it would be increasing req costs, making OPs change completely pointless in the first place.
S4ngetsu
Well it would change the lategame i agree with you, but since you can't destroy your own listening posts and even in lategame requisition is very important i doubt that suddenly people have 100% power gens. They have to destroy them before they can change from req to power. And going full power early game = lose.
So the early game won't be affected at all, thats what i ment.
Late game yeah, thats something else. Even if someone manages to get 90-100% power gens and spams T3 units it could be fun tbh, sure it will change the lategame meta, but that is not the problem - the problem is the early game meta which are so many people crying about. (Im fine with it.)

Yeah kat is right with this. Relic never designed its games around the option to have only mech armies. Its always been primarily about infantry with the choice of mech or go all infantry (which happens very often in DoW 2) the most people would ever build in DoW 2 was a walker and thats it people rarely used tanks in DoW 2 (except eldar IG cuz reasonz and nids when they havnt figured out that zoanthrope spam wins games) and people rarely ever got 2 walkers out because by that time the advantage of armor has been fully negated by flex and cc units or arty set up teams.
