By the way Pugb has load of negative reviews but it has huge playerbase. You are amazing, puting the fault on fans instead on game itself.
Managing your opinions isn't my job, and you couldn't afford it anyways, the whole point is to get you to think for yourself so you can actually contribute.
Look at the graph and review trends for both DoW 3 and PUGB, specifically in the beginning. Please, stop it with the ignorant statements... you're (possibly) better than that.
So guys, I just registered to post this:
I have been playing the game from nearly releash, and What i ve noticed is, that it really lacks depth.
As somebody mentioned it, I would really like to see:
-The mass Armies, base building, of Dawn of war 1
-The depth of armour types, damage, costumization of units and covers of dawn of war 2
-No elite units, only some heroes , who might help u, but wont turn the tide of battle at once
lot of unit types tier 1-2-3 or even 4, line infantry, and variety of choices
please don t start with 3 races, that felt like a rip-off, especially without chaos...
Grim Dark, no “shiny bitzz“ (no nowadays commonly used cartoonish graphics)
A WELL written story line
tons of game modes really, FFA, King of the hill, victory point... ect
I might even go to the point of implementing space conquest(not quite sure mb not all would anticipate it)
Last Stand
On a Side note, I might try to fuse Dawn of war, with my other favorite game, that i love and play ever since:
Supreme Commander Forged Alliance
You can say all you want, but that game in my opinion is hands down one of the top rts games EVER made: Largest scale of war . It cries for a successor, because supcom2 was awful, and planetary annihilation is a joke, with all its “innovative“ graphics.
My side note idea might just be my affection to that other game, but besides that, all said above serves only 1 purpose: A new better dow game.
make it and all the fans will be praising you.
I am begging Relic for an expansion. Please. Add Chaos and Necron. Cut the crap with the switching narrative and give us a good Space Marine Grand Campaign (where you might still control allied Eldar in certain missions). Make a campaign similar to Ardennes Assault where upgrades are permanent and enemies grow stronger depending on how you conquer territorries.

That depth is what wrecked DoW 2s multiplayer. DoW 3 scale is too big to make DoW 2 cover feasable. Try making more use of concealment cover. You will see that its really good for unit preservation. Nothing wrong with upgrades that improve units. But NO to flex units.

A Total Annihilation / SupCom + 40k game would pretty much ensure that anyone who specifically liked the micro scale of DoW 2 would vomit; you would hear people complaining about spam, about how bland things would feel, and about unmanageable the game is. I say this as a fan of the TA/SupCom series. While you might get the War of Armageddon, people would be complaining that their Astartes are dying in droves lololol. At least you could have Titans in the game, and elites would be actual elites and HQ choices would come with full retinues.
Listen guys im not a mindless hater, but this game is a 7/10 at the very very best. Now. Without annihilation mode (aka at release) i say 6/10.
Im not even throwing terms like franken-MOBA around, this game just has a lot of half-warm fearures and not a lot of content.
Core idea isnt bad (except PC mode). Execution is meh. And marketing was abysmal.

I would say it's closer to 5/10 - lack of fulfilling content (the maps, the doctrines, game modes, whatever else), lackluster campaign, the lack of day one multiplayer features and a competent AI. I'd push the score down to highlight the lack of communication from the devs.
Post patch, I'd put the game at 6 - it's good to kill time between coding or whatever else since it takes awhile to queue and you can still have good fulfilling matches in between the void of ++heresy redacted++ tier players( myself some times included. )
What you need to do to make the Dow 4 the best RTS for the fan community.
1) First, depart from all versions of abstract, conventional stylistics. Dow in the tin doll style, in the style of Picasso or the early Disney, we do not need to thank you. Only pseudo-cinematographic style in the manner of the first and second parts. With the possibility of approaching the camera to the unit at point-blank range. This is one of the most important indicators conveying the atmosphere of this series. For if the game is visual, this is already half the success.
2) Minimally clutter the battlefield with interface conventions. And the interface itself should be minimally intuitive. And if it is possible customizable for personal preference examples already exist.
3) Now the gameplay. About 6 buildings, with a highly specialized importance. Whatever the loss of any of them was critically reflected in tactical capabilities and economics. Unpredictability before the battle in the branches of the race on the battlefield. That is, the choice of the hero, the weapons of the units, the order of tactics and the like is not mediocre in battle, but not before it begins. Gameplay the battlefield must be ironed in the manner of the Dow 2 and its modes. But with twice the scale of the cards and the limit. Believe our iron it will pull very easily. For the engine for the current iron can be optimized even better. Yes, and the limit in the Dow 2 was small and its doubling will not be too much. But in such a detailed battle, the scale will be felt very much. Enabling and disabling the logical automation of the location of shelters and the use of units by units. To help if you do not have time to micrate these scales.
4) A minimum of 4 fractions with cardinally ambitious balances. Taking into account tank features of fractions. Again, the ideal balance and bekovosti speech is not in the reasonable limits of playability and physics.
5) Return pseudo-realistic behavior in animation units. Animated reactions to the landscape, shelters and current situations on the battlefield. And by itself it's necessary to return sing kill. And different depending on the skeletons of interacting models. Given the sing kill factor in gameplay and balance. This is an instant cancellation of animation when you receive another order for movement, immortality at the time of application or an increase in an important parameter after the application, etc. You can think of many things and let sing kill do without harming the meticulous, cyber-sparse balance.
6) And most importantly, the game should be a platform for mods. With very wide capabilities and tools. Yes, the fan community created dozens of ideal in their opinion rts. Not letting the game go into oblivion for another ten years.
I'm sorry, I translated Russian as I could. I think with the six points of vision for the next part of the series, most fans of the fan community will agree.

Idk... i am playing a SS campaign and having a lot of fun, other than the part were the game keeps getting easier as you get more elites.
Problem with SS is they hardly added anything new except for flying units and the campaign was just another DC clone. Still was fun. But they could have done more with the game as well as fix some flaws.
Honestly I think that this games biggest downfall was it was just boring to play.
From my own thinking:
Dow1 was exciting because of how overly dramatic it all was with synckills and fresh squad mechanics for units, stuff dropping from the sky, a kick ++heresy redacted++ opening trailer etc. Still had base building in full for the traditional rts fans.
Dow2 had an entirely new cover mechanic, hero's that were full on combat units that changed how your army played. Every squad had some kind of ability or role that made them useful and brought diversity to the game. It didn't have base building which alienated alot of the old rts crew, But it brought a lot of interest for doing things in new and exciting ways, Even if the balance and the bugs it had ultimately killed it.
Then you've dow3.
What's new or exciting about it? Maybe the elite system and the big walkers. But other than that, everything has been stripped out.
Sync kills for visual pleasure (even if they made the game non competitive, there could've been a toggle somewhere for pro games to turn them on and off)
A bastardised base building system that didn't keep the hard-core dow1 crew or the "we dont miss bases" dow2 gang happy.
Stripped down cover mechanics that are just operationally meh
Units have largely lost all of their abilities
And the actual game mode. I Just don't know what was wrong with vps or annihilate. It gave you something to fight over that wasn't a ++heresy redacted++ bubble.
Also invis patches were new, But hell, they're a source of frustration, not a small advantage that enemy can have which you feel like you can break for a minute before it returns instead of working the second you don't have a unit in there to make stuff visible.
To be honest, I'm all for dow4 at this point unless the actual game mechanics are switched up in dow3. It'll just continue to be a snooze fest otherwise
@Cursed said:

Incorrect.
From the SM side:
Tactical Marines have grenades, flamer which can double as a snare or root, or plasma.
Scouts have mines, stun/silence grenades
Assault Marines - Leap, and jump.
Scout Snipers - Toggle Cloak, Toggle Snare, Overwatch
Heavy Bolters - Pin
Las Cannons - Silence/Snare.
Dreadnought - Charge, Slam which can add speed and/or add a deflecting bubble
Land Speeder - Orbital Re-entry, faster recharge mechanic.
Whirlwind - Ability to jump.
Predator Destructor - Line AoE attack.
The abilities, excluding the passive ones (which can be just as prolific) are definitely there.
Incorrect in ork side too.
Only lootas, killa kans and deffdread don't have abilities vanilla.
With doctrines, they both have abilities too.
And Cursed, you're forgetting that all units in DOW2 and 1 don't have abilities either.
predators, lasdev for SM ?
bustas for orks ? (well, waaagh aside, obviously)
shuriken platform ?
etc
If someone want to count the abilities, I'm fairly sure that DOW3 is in the same league than DOW1 and 2.
Im pretty sure Dow3 has more active abilities on line units then 2, at least with Doctrines. (Or, well, you wouldnt get more then 1 unit of that type usually in 2, for example ur usually only gonna build 1 Catachan.
Not that this is an inherently good or bad thing anyway.
Your not wrong. Maybe it's that they felt like they were more important in dow2 because you generally wouldn't have more than 2 of the same unit activating those abilities.
But that's still only one point in that post. Would you agree that dow3 feels boring compared to dow1 or dow2?
@Hibou said:

Spotted Kat_Re in News forum 20 hrs ago since this post. DoW3 might as well moved on back-up server
On the serious note, I see a lot of activity in AoE4 - 2 big casts with quite a crowd on the board on at least one - and whole new level of interraction in COH2 - Kyle posts small surveys on which doctrines\units people want to see revamped + new stuff in a regular threads, like it's really nothing.
It have been 2 weeks, indeed, so I guess each new day got increased chances of bringing up a response, if we would take at base that there should be at least 1 in this month.

Not compared to DOW2 to be honest. And I played the sh*t out of it.
DOW2 was extremely repetitive build order wise.
Yeah, the meta, I know, but the lack of buildings and of general upgrades limited the choices (imo).
Though, I have to agree that the VP mode was a lot of fun in DOW2, compared to the power core mode.
Yes.
Power core mode doesnt change anything from classic annihilation -unlike VP does. You still need to overpower your opponents arny to break into his base and destroy it. it simply gives you free, strong defences. This makes the game unexplosive and sometimes makes for matches that drag on long after theyre decided.
I would love to judge how 1v1 annihilation feels, but finding ppl for that usually takes more time then I am willing to wait.
So yeah, I find DoW2 is way more fun. It looks better and feels better. Way more tactical gameplay as opposed to microbattles.
Nothing against nicrobattles in and of themselves, but the micro in this game is like 2 overweight toddlers battling it out with cushions due to hight TTK and slow gamespeed in general.
If I want microbattles, I fire up SC2 and play Terran Bio. If I want tactical gameplay, I play DoW2. This game has me at a loss trying to find s reason to plax it that goes beyond "cmon, give it another go".
DOW3 is not boring do you want my copy pasta or what?
I get it, you think it is boring and many people think so too because of playerbase and the game not selling as well as it potentially could have(whether it sold well enough to justify an expansion/make a profit only relic knows).
There is a high variety of reasons why people think this and different people will come ranting on various forums which one's are most important to address to get players back/make a dow4 succeed. Relic likely knows better than any of us which complaints are most common because they have had people paid to actually read the feedback many many players have been giving and have had long time to do so. We will likely either see relic try to address some of the less costly and relatively less game changing feedback in future updates and expansions in an effort to revive the game, or we will see the game abandonded and only given basic support and low production cost expansions to sell to the existing playerbase and maybe many years later there will be a dow4 that makes big changes but only maybe. Which we get will be up to whether relic wants to and thinks it is worth reviving dawn of war 3. But we don't know what relic is thinking so we wait.
I dont think any "copy paste" of yours could "refute" my sentiment.
What one finds boring or fun is pretty subjective.
We can have a discussion on my reasons, if u want. But I dont see how youre going to convince me that PC mode isnt just annihilation with training wheels or that the micro battles are not slow as hell compared to SC2.

TuskaDemonKilla
Im pretty sure Dow3 has more active abilities on line units then 2, at least with Doctrines. (Or, well, you wouldnt get more then 1 unit of that type usually in 2, for example ur usually only gonna build 1 Catachan.
Not that this is an inherently good or bad thing anyway.
Cursed
Your not wrong. Maybe it's that they felt like they were more important in dow2 because you generally wouldn't have more than 2 of the same unit activating those abilities.
But that's still only one point in that post. Would you agree that dow3 feels boring compared to dow1 or dow2?

TuskaDemonKilla
