After playing several times this game I just noticed that its very bad balanced. I mean, some races have the ability to melt the HQ in matter of seconds while others need a LOT of time tod estroy it. I created an excel with every unit in each race and its dps against and HQ and its just ridiculous.
The HQ has 10000 HP and two WG can melt it in 60 seconds with 160 DPS. They are effective against all units and the most important, they are only two squads so you can use the rest of the pop cap for what you need.
Same with IG:
Stormtroopers + Melta 61,75
Two of three of these and use the rest to your needs. With three squads the HQ melts in 53 seconds.
Then there are the other races... For example Chaos:
Havocs + Autocannon 33,33
Havocs + Lascannon 29,46
Dreadnought + Missile Launcher 46,15
Plague Marines 10,68
Predator + 25% damage 40,54
Predator + Lascannon 55,00
Basically what they have is just AV so if you want to assault the enemy base and not become old before destroying the enemy HQ you have to put all your efforts in AV and thus leaving you into an uncomfortable situation. I made a somewhat balanced assault army with: 2x havocs + dread + pred and it just leaves me room for two CSM without a leader and a heretic squad. Ah, and this "balanced" army just gives me 167 DPS, still surpassed by the way more flexible 2xWG or 2/3xStormtroopers.
I would propose that the HQ health would be reduced to half but this would aggravate the problem of a lighting attack against Eldar and IG.
Seeing that each race has a good armor piercing weapons and explosive weapons I suggest that armor piercing and explosive damage be 2x instead of 1x. Also nerf the melta against buildings to x0.5 or 0.75 or something like this. This would ensure that you have to hit at least tier 3 to attack or if you want to attack in t2 you have to give out mobility and antiinfantry and buy AV. Basically this would put everyone in the same situation where they need a tank to attack.
Otherwise playing anni just reduces you to choose between Eldar or IG, having the Eldar an enormous advantage with their webways.
