the use of elite point in the game is subclassified, it is both valuable and useless. Explanation: when we start the game, the goal for many is to have very fast to unlock the metal giants of each to have a serious advantage in the game, but once all units unlocked, the point that we get become only useful for sending a powerful hit on the face of our enemies.
My ideas is to implement new improvement for each race, but these improvements will require to fulfill specific conditions (as for example to capture the old sacred point) and the cost of these improvements would be the elite point!
Another incorporation that would be smart would be a new minor elite unit, not related to the player but to the race and not limited by the number, like the Apothecary Space Marines,
it would cost an elite point, but not a lot (1 to 2) and will make it possible to have already strong argument by race, if we want for example that to deprive of Beâuti or if we do not wish to make strike paladin anger on the battlefield.
Examples by race:
- Space Marines: Apothecary, a unit that regenerates the health of nearby units slowly even in the middle of combat (which strengthens them) but which would be very visible and therefore a target of choice.
- Ork: the posers: remote unit with a very strong base DPS against the normal shielded unit, but which by recovering metal gets loads allowing to choose among different equipment to adapt and that even once the equipment chosen taken, can in exchange for new load take another weapon / tool to adapt, which would make the posers at once a very versatile unit but also to eliminate took all to avoid a counter from the orks
- Eldars: For the Eldar, I'm not a great Eldar player, but it would be nice if he got a unit capable of seeing from afar and or one able to move the enemy units to bring them back into a trap.
The main problem I currently have comes from the Eldar.
Their tactics rely mainly on spamming a particularly handy and powerful unit and sacrificing a unit to save time, and then roll over the enemy.
I thought the Eldars player adept of the strategy, but one would think because of this balance of the Eldar units that it is no more in common with the mentality ORK (thing that I understand but that is not possible with the oks precisely) the orks are numerous but fragile, the more they spam their unit, the faster it loses a game.
My idea of the elite point and to add a foundation to the game by race and not to turn everything around the player himself.
What do you thinks ?
