Not at all! While we do generally favour playing Exodus mod and community maps, we don't always and can play without! Also, if there's enough people, and they want to do different things e.g. 4 people want exodus, 4 want vanilla, they can play separate games - there's plenty of voice channels on the discord server that you can use if you want to speak to the people in your game as well. If you find more people interested in the same thing as you, e.g. vanilla, 1v1 etc. you can invite them to the server as well so that it's more likely that you'll have other players with similar preferences. The date of each week's game night is put in the information channel of the server, and usually there are 1 hour and 5 minute announcements to remind people leading up to the game night. It's often slow to fill up but there's a number of regulars who show up most weeks. Don't be shy to try joining in!
