Why am I getting emails about a game the Dev's have completely given up on?

I unsubscribed from there mailing list. But still. I thought hey maybe they fixed DOW 3 and made it at least as good as DOW2. Which is a masterpiece. But nope, go into Steam and a few other places to find they have completely abandoned this game.
Why are they sending out "Skins" emails if they have completely abandoned this?

Because skins were something Relic didn't rule out in the future. It's something free they're giving out to folks; you're under no obligation to play the game as a consequence.
