Oh dang that's right I still remembered my user name and password even though I haven't been here for nearly a year. This should be the proper place for this.
Now that this game has been forgotten by almost everyone, its time to take a look back and realize, as you see the gaming landscape as it sits today, relic were way ahead of their time. It seems like bioware totally plagiarized almost the entire timeline. From all the hype, to that initial shock, the quick bleed out of the player base, the stalwart hard core defenders blaming trolls for the games downfall, and even right now as that story unfolds, the "Calm down everythings fine" line as the top devs head over to the shiny new project. In this case its Dragon Age 4, in our cause its Age of Empires 4. They are getting that skeleton crew team for updates, we'll see if they have to wait in limbo for 6 months before bioware comes out and says that "Due to budget, and restructuring bioware is no longer going to continue supporting the game Anthem." Remember when that happened here?
See relic didn't absolutely fail miserably at their own IP, they were paving the way for this next generation of AAA games.

I will however give credit where credit is due, relic at least had the decency to not inject to bursting their floundering IP full of microtransactions to squeeze the die hard fans for every single red cent before they dropped support. Looking at you Bethesda and 76.
