Here's my story.
I own the Gold Edition in the box, which is the original game along with the Winter Assault expansion in the same box, and I also own in a separate box the Dark Crusade expansion.
I 'registered' the original game on Steam with no issue, but Steam does not recognise the keys for either of the expansion packs. What kind of wicked glaring oversight is this??
I've (and two of my friends) been digging around, looking for a fix. Outside of using some kind of 'crack' method, that was actually posted in the Steam forums, I have not found a legitimate way to make these games playable online, in what one would assume would be the full experience.
I found a link... http://steamcommunity.com/app/9450/discussions/0/522730076105985507/
That says I can get free Steam keys with a validation of my purchases, which I CAN provide, but the link to the appropriate page to make this work is a 404. Wtf?.... over?
There are multiple posts about this issue in multiple forums associated with the game, and here too, with no resolution or reply from anyone 'in the know' that I've been able to find. A quick internet search reveals tons of people trying to resolve this problem.
Can we get some kind of solution please? Or at least a plan for the future or the finger or whatever so those of us looking to play the game, can, or otherwise (discrediting the franchise in the process.) move on ??
