I loved control points from DOW1 and how they functioned as resource sites and battlefield hardpoints. They made battles feel really organic for me when I was trying to push forward on the battlefield to gain the upperhand.

Do you mean strategic points or Victory points from Dawn of War II? Resource nodes are confirmed. As for everything else, it's all speculation.
I'm talking about the control points from DOW1 both the critical and requisition points, I never liked the victory points in DOW2 which counted down from a ticket pool till victory. I've always thought that ticket pools in games were a ridiculous and lazy way at showing battle progression in game.
I don't agree, I really like the victory points system actually. Some intense fighting goes around those points which is very fun. It promotes different strategies, rather than just annihilating the enemy. For strategic points/nodes I think it could be similar to DoW1.
I enjoyed the VP system from DoW 1 and CoH.....their changes to it in DoW 2 was infuriating.
Change it to the original system, and i'm a happy camper.
