I was talking about the Space Marine game on some other Warhammer forums. Some users were saying that the Space Marines are not so strong as they are in the game and some are saying that they are. I wanted to know your opinion on this forum so I created the poll - how strong is the true Space Marine comparing to the game?

I mean in the Lore space marines are easily on par with Ork Nobz. They're hyper hella strong out of their armour, only strengthened by their power armour.
BUTI
The Space Marine has the best Warhammer feeling because of the great maps, weapons and the Space Marines who was actually strong.
I remember one part where Leandros was pushing this giant shell to the cannon. It was looking awesome o.o
The Space Marines are strong as hell..
Misery
He's not a normal space marine though, he's a elite space marine officer with hundreds of years of experience, even in the tabletop they're considerably stronger than the normal basic disposable space marine. In that game too the bigger orcs are stronger than him, and hit harder, nor does her run at the speed of sound or catch bullets or some of the other nonsense people claim space marines can do around here.
Space marines are definitely stronger than normal humans, but they aren't as physically strong as Ogryns, unless you read the novels, which are basically just silly fan fiction.
Helpless
Astartes don't get stronger with age, just more wise and battle hardened.
Misery
People get stronger with training though. You can assume hundreds of years of exertion has given him more physical strength.
Helpless
Not really. They are all in peak physical form at all times. Only some exceptions are stronger, like Darnath Lysander, Arjac Rockfis, or Mephiston..

I remember that Leandros was just brother. If we are talking about the SM game, one Assault Marine can fight with four nobs at once (max nobs on in the Exterminatus mode at once) so normal brothers are strong. I was not talking about the muscles strenght but just who is better in combat. And stop use that word "orcs" because that's error.
If novels don't collides with things that's actually lore too.
Misery
"Peak physical condition" doesn't mean much. Marathon runners are at peak physical condition, they can't lift very much though.
Even so, even the stronger space marines aren't very strong relatively, which was the whole point, even in the example it's talking about he's weaker than large orks.
Misery
If you are talking about combat strength, then a Space Marine is on the level of an Ork Nob, though in the game the Orks strength was toned down in combat for gameplay reasons. It's not really a good basis for anything.
Oh and "Orcs" was autocorrected, but I'm sure you still understood what was said. By the way, if we are pointing out errors (which we shouldn't as it's pointless and considered slightly rude), you mean "using" not "use", "the" not "that" and "wrong" not "error", and should never start a sentence with "and".
No, novels are considered "propaganda" and are like legends more than actual events. They aren't considered "lore" at all just some person in the universe writing a story. Also you mean "story" not "lore", those words mean different things (this is a fun game
).
HORDESLICER
Yes, it is error because this is not even a word and I see this "word" everywhere on this forum. Stop using this "word" so the other users will stop too. And 300m in 18 is not the speed of sound (340.29m/s)
I like And using XD
HORDESLICER
Nobs are using heavy weapons but chainswords are not heavy weapons - they just need to be fast and handy in use but with the power axe for example you can hit hard as nobs do losing some speed in fight.
GW is approving the novels as part of the lore.
HORDESLICER
Polls are good because all viewers are voting. Only few of them take part in the discussions.
I recommend to do them in threads ^^
Orblivion
Leandros is just a regular battle-brother. And in the tabletop, Space Marines have the same strength across the entire range, from Chapter Master to scout they are all strength rating 4. Only truly exceptional marines, such as Mephiston, have a higher strength than 4.

Pretty much everything I've ever read, but especially the Space Wolf novels, contradict this. Normal Boyz are easy enough to handle, but Nobz are a different class, and Warbosses are to Nobz what Nobz are to regular Boyz.
BUTI
Yep, slugga nobz are big sluggas what makes them stronger than slugga boyz.
