I am not sure if all of this was known before, but the YouTube video includes things on how drop pods work, deathstorm drop pods, and some weapons choices for your tactical squads. I apologize if this has become common knowledge and if I have only now seen it.

Thank you for posting the complete link!
Oddly enough, I cannot quote you on it because that still counts towards me posting a link since it is in your text. Hmm.

there we go....found out how to actually embed it, that was easy. and yea, you cant post full links until you reach a certain tier, dunno how many posts that is exactly. as for the video itself, its well done, I enjoy his videos since he has a more neutral/optimistic perspective on the game, unlike many other youtubers which just constantly rag on a couple of things. the information is nice as well, simply because it has videos of all the units shown in one place, unlike before when things like the whirlwind/deathstorm only got shown off in one particular video from one place. still not a fan of the lascannons...but it seems like an easy fix to turn them back to the traditional charge then fire setup instead of a constant beam.

More I learn about this the more I like it. Vehicles are deployed just as I imagined - via Thunderhawks. Drop pods with defensive guns, awesome. And we just scratched the surface, a lot more SM units remain, not to mention Eldars, and Orks that we haven't seen in game yet.

Marines look average tbh, good n bad bits.
Good: Devs, ASM, Deathstorms, Scouts.
Rest im not too impressed with from a competitive PoV.

Looking back at the footage again there appears to be many smaller additional details hidden in what has been shown. I think that most of the people that are viewing this game as being simplified are missing important details such as how the new cover system appears to be blocking fire through it even if the enemy is on the other side of cover.
There are a whole bunch of small details throughout the footage shown that raises interesting questions about how game-play will work. The most interesting thing about the space marine is how are those drop pod system going to work and what sort of vehicles are we going to see. At moment we have seen hopefully only a small fraction of units that the space marine possess and hopefully more details will come.
I agree that the lascannons being a beam weapon makes no sense. Personally I am fine with changing how certain things work across multiple games, however, the main problem with the lascannon being a beam weapon, that increase in damage with use, is that lascannons can also be equipped as the primary weapon of predator tanks. That is a major problem as having predator main weapon be a charge up beam weapon does not suit the look and feel of a predator tank. There also is just a simple fix for this and that is to switch out the weapon model to a graviton gun. Which is real weapon that space marine use that in lore makes sense for it to have this charge up beam effect.
It would be really beneficial if all the currently released information is presented in a single form as videos like the one shown and articles written each contain an additional part of what Dawn of war 3 and I feel that most of the complaining is a result of not enough or incomplete information.
(also on the topic of posting links it appear to be a new feature, probably a result of all the spamming that occurred. It also appear to now extend to images as well)

I hope this quote formatted properly. Anyway, that is genius! We've never seen a grav weapon animated and it would completely fit!
