Watched stream of the game and noticed that the Lasconnon Devastators would say: "Prepare to be disintegrated" but since Relic changed the firing effect for the unit from an actual laser beam that intensified and intensified to more of a minigun firing animation, that line doesn't seem to work anymore.
While Relic can easily remove the line (or ignore it and keep it in anyway :v ), I actually think they should keep the line AND I wish they stuck to that laser beam effect as it looked much more eye catching and i'd say more noticeable than some tiny bolts of energy charging up in speed like a mini gun.
It would also be better for Player B who'll go: "Oh crap, looks like one of my units is (clearly) being hit by this laser beam weapon. I should get that unit moving."
Then again, I could see someone argue that the laser beam would stick out like a sore thumb
TL:DR Only laser beams can disintegrate

Meltacannon I think I'm saying it right..Is that in or what?

Disintegrator beams can also disintegrate, but sadly they don't tend to crop up too much in 40k (Dark Eldar woo!)
SharKnight
The beams that they are using should be grav-cannons instead of lass canons.
It seems that with THQ gone, Relic stopped caring about consistency.

In the eternal struggle to fix lore to be consistent with at least earler dow titles I call upon Emperor, pls fix ++heresy redacted++ lore.

@HiveMind ... yes... there probably is... but i think what the community considers the larger or more important details are already being throughly discussed.
Then again I think details like how the weapons operate in this game is also important to a degree... I am not sure whether i like the current firing animation for the lazcannon... I think i much preferred the older firing animations in DOW2.... and the colour.... it just looks weird as an orangey colour I think lazcannon blasts from Imperial weapons should be blue.... yes deffinately blue
.
So yeah how weapons operate, feel, and look in this game is actually really important to me. This is because how these weapons feel deepens immersion into the 40k experience.
I think the current firing annimation for imperial lazer weapons is unique.... but it doesnt feel as powerful or have enough impact. So i think it would fit better on a different weapon.

I think lore wise, I've always thought a combination of what you said and pattern of las weapon. I remember in DoW1, IG had red, SM had white, and Chaos had purpley las beams, but that was probably for clarity.
