Im so tired of companies that create games that are not ready to be released, half done, just with big names. Like most people i guess.
Can we get, for once, a game that is made with passion, not out off pure interest in money. And ye, I know how our society works. But you can have both.
The rule is simple. A game needs a big community. And how do you get that? - 1.) by adding long term motivation, Ranks, Unlockabels etc. 2.) Make it a competitve (esport) game. Dawn of war has everything it needs. Just support it, balance it, make events.
Thats all it needs. No magic needed. And for god sake, don't make the mistake and try to make all the Warhammer fanboys happy. It won't happen. GW is already changing the way their universe works (read the books). You need to see warhammer more like a fluent process and less like a static environment (like so much people do. I want to vomit when I read the fanboys raging already in the forums).
