Can i get support for a "DOW I REMASTERED EDITION"?
That means a DOW I with:
- Imporved and 4k Textures
- More Performance (better RAM, CPU and GPU use)
- correct impact for some projectiles (lasergun from imps)
- Shown damage on units and vehicles (like COH series)
Why a remasterd version?
- Because for all old 40k fans.
- It is easy and fast money for SEGA.
- The development does not need so much resources as a now game.
- Microsoft did it with Halo Wars Remastered so why not Relic/Sega too.
If you have some points to add, feel free to add it.
If you agree me write in comments "agree", "yea", "FOR THE EMPEROR", "WHAAAAAGHHH!" "holy fu" or some other stuff

A remastered edtion of dow2 would also be nice, if we would get an actual fun gameplay. Building bases, and no more playing wack-a-mole over stategic points.

Pathfinding in vDoW was bad for more things than just vehicles. Melee combat was a very new thing at the time, and it often struggled with it.
Also I swear I read this in a different subforum? Or I forgot I replied. But a remastered edition with the requirements you're listing for it, would cost more than you think it does. The core vDoW engine doesn't support the kinds of things you want it to feature, and engine development is expensive.

you have my support.

I would also support DOW I REMASTERED but why now? It's a bad time as DoW3 will be released soon.

You are right, it's definetly too early to think about remastered version of DOW 1 but i still hope it's a possibility.

Except Dawn of War II wasn't a horrible successor because it was less tactful. It can debatably be considered a lesser successor for other reasons, but Dawn of War II was much more tactful in terms of unit control and unit positioning because of its cover system and shock tactics-style of gameplay. Dawn of War I is far less concerned with unit positioning and individual unit control and more concerned with smashing units into each other with "A-move".
Dawn of War I pathfinding is the worst in the series.
Dawn of War I does not have better graphics than Dawn of War III. Dawn of War I looks dated because it is dated. Dawn of War III is shinier and brighter than Dawn of War I, which is more of an aesthetic art style – an aesthetic art style that you don't seem to prefer over the "grim dark" tone (which is understandable).
You not considering Dawn of War II gameplay to be fun is a personal opinion. If anything, I would argue that gameplay, positioning and combat are far simpler in Dawn of War I and could be considered to be more akin to "whack-a-mole" in comparison to Dawn of War II.

I personally don't see the appeal for a game that play exactly the same with enhanced graphics/resolution. A simple patch should do, right? Why would I buy again a game I already own?
Also: I'll leave this here.

Dark Crusade is still the best campaign ever.
I hate this new trend of races intermingling inside a campaign. Horribly stupid idea.

Anyone who knows how much effort from the community went into finally getting Age of Empires II rebooted into HD edition would know this is a very resource-intensive request and not at all that cheap for Relic/SEGA. Working with the older engines is much more difficult as it does not allow the ease of regression testing the newer engines allow; that's without mention to fix the flaws of vanilla would basically require it being rebuilt on a newer engine.
I agree, it would be great to get vanilla remastered but I have to discredit some of the reasoning raised.

I would love Relic/SEGA so much if we go a remastered game with Steam Achievements

Why so few support ?

How about give the Ultimate Apocalypse mod team official support from Relic and just work with them to make literally a 40k RTS game as it should be, with a campaign involving everything from small-scale skirmishes to massive battles for the fate of a sector?
Gambit
Well I guess most good modders can do that. But man, Mods do NOT update a game's engine. They build upon it.
Yes, they offer TOO much new content and perhaps new mechanics (which is true for UA and most race mods).
But ultimately, it's the Relic programmers that will provide the actual "Remastered" basis.
Otherwise, yeah, until them we can play any mod we like

Can we have DOW1 Remastered Edition ? Age of Empires and Starcraft get one !

Remastered vDoW1? LAAAAME!
BridgetFisher
What about us recent DOW1 fans who buy the bundle. And new fans of DOW3 who got the old ones and play them instead of the new one because their more fun, a facelift graphically would sell like hot cakes!!!
Seems to be more of those everyday. Would love to see all of DOW remastered from winter assault, to dark crusade.
Gambit
Well, I would also LOVE to see a DoW1 remastered edition - or perhaps (as most DoW lovers would daydream) a DoW1/DoW2 hybrid.
That would definitely be a hit. But let's be practical - the chances are ... infinitesimal.
What you CAN do is try some mods. I only recently joined the Steam family (Full DoW1 and Dow2 purchase will all DLCs), only to find out that many guys still play DoW1... UNMODDED! You may find some of the mods reinvigorating your passion for the game. My favourite are definitely the race mods, Strongholds and Ultimate Apocalypse.
So instead of waiting for something that will (most possibly) NEVER come, have a look to what is already here.
And by the way, some are of EXCEPTIONAL quality. Try Thousand Sons. Or Witch Hunters. Or Dark Angels. If not already.

Big fan of both DOW1 and DOW2. Dont think I would like a hybrid, then again I never played it or can imagine it so hard to say. I would like if DOW1 and DOW2 got their own franchise since its fun to play both of them for me and their both very different forms of gameplay. DOW1 is like a more massive game without being too massive, its comfy. DOW2 is squad based sort of xcom style which is nice for that audience.
Really since so many still play DOW1 and it seems to be as active or more active than DOW3 its logical to let the consumer decide if they want remasters and if we use online players as a metric it seems the original DOW1 and DOW2 are worth consideration by relic for a remaster going by popularity.
They dont even need to ask us for suggestions, just give them a facelift with not one change. Any new ideas save for another addition maybe to that corresponding franchise such as DOW1 or DOW2 since their sales would dictate if its worth making more stuff anyways.
Raindrop
If we compare the amount of current players in DoW1 + addons is higher then the one DoW3 now has.
I would for sure buy a remaster of DoW1 + with new models for factions that got remodeled like Dark Eldar.

Interesting numbers its always a possibility it been done a quite a few times with old titles which where loved when they released long ago. Me personally I would may
purchase it depending on what they are going to add and if its value for money or worth me playing something for a new experience. But still I would prefer for now for them to work on dow3 but somewhere in the future at some time I hope they would look into this.

+++++++++++++ i want remaster waiting))))

Just make a new deep RTS, they have the talent to do it. People screaming for remasters is a pretty bad sign, hopefully going forward, they'll play less market roulette and go steady and play on their strengths (multiplayer / esports isn't it.)
Look at what Creative Assembly did with Warhammer, they consistently stuck to their guns, and they are there, and Relic is... well... here...
