So having seen the new 'bubble' cover feature which offers a shield bubble negating all ranged damage to the units inside (until destroyed or assaulted with melee units), do you think this would make early game very stale? As it seems like these positions would be incredibly hard to assault in the early game once captured by the enemy. With less available resources, troops, and counter options at that time it could potentially make attacking these points completely unviable early game - leading to a very slow prolonged start and eliminating a lot of early map control fights once each side has captured the cover points.
Are my fears unfounded? (I hope so!) Please correct me if my understanding of the cover system is wrong also. What are your thoughts/opinions on this?
