I haven't found a dedicated map thread, so I decided to create one.
The maps we have seen so far were a bit too narrow and lane-y for my liking. Even the 3v3 map, with the big open area in the middle, had only a few spots where you could traverse from the middle to the side paths, and the sides were really just straight lanes. Maybe we have just been shown only the tighter maps from the pool so far, but since we don't know, it's open for discussion.
What I would like to see are some more open maps. Generally I do think DoW2 map design would be fitting in DoW3 just great, the only change would be incorporating turrets and shield gens. Flanking and assaulting from behing was a big part of DoW2 gameplay and I believe it would work just as good in DoW3, but the maps need to allow and support it.
Also, I would like to see more objects in the maps, not as much as DoW2, but some pathblockers like rocks, crates, small walls etc. etc. would make the maps more lively. I didn't see that in the mupltiplayer maps, but in the Eldar campaign mission playthrough, the map was way more "cluttered" and it looked awesome, hoping for more maps like that.
