One thing every DOW nailed is voices. It is such a bliss hearing those every single time, of every faction. I don't know how Relic manages to always find those incredibly talented people, but it never ever disappointed. I'm quite convinced DOW III voices will be on same level of quality.
And yes, thx for video, was very interesting to watch.
I haven't seen anyone asking for it, but in my head I did wish to get a video like this. Lol I imagined Gorgutz's actor being much older. Also I thought they'll show all the actors like they did with retribution, but it seems like they hid a few of em. Anyway it was a nice little video anyway.
Great post! I actually didn't watch the entire video, just some of it. That is my strange, idiosyncratic way of trying not to spoil too much of the final launch version on the 27th.
DoW franchise voiceover acting is right up there with Blizzard games at the top of the entire industry IMO.... BTW, is it just me, or do PC games seem to have better voiceover than console games for some reason (even when on similar budgets?) I mean I'm thinking of Kevin Conroy doing Arkham games on Xbox, CoD games, and frankly PC games just seem to nail it better for some reason. Wierd.
@Hernstal great comment when you mentioned "they do seem to lack DoW1 madness". I think I knew what you meant immediately, but had to think about your comment a tad bit to help me understand exactly why those actors sounded a bit mad. It was like those voiceover actors went a tad bit over the top and it almost risked ruining their own performance by being slightly cheesy, but the actors always kept a super straight face in the booth and never broke the 4th wall. That ultra seriousness blended in perfectly with the game's dark ambiance & sense of tension that some bloodthirsty orc or batsh*t crazy chaos sorceror potentially lurked around every corner.
I think the very best part of all the voiceacting for DoW1 was the actors who did the Imperial Guard faction. Perhaps we will get some more "madness" again when DoW3 eventually gets that added as a race some day.
That's one reason why I don't always like to watch these videos. When I saw that the voice behind Jimmy Raynor looked like Dana Carvey's Turtleman, I just couldn't look at the character the same way ever again...

DOW1 voice acting is glorious ...
The dow 2 ones were less repetitive, at least for orks. They did go back to the roots cos I remember hearing my orks saying the same sh*t over and over again in this third one.
Other then that, I've enjoyed the vid, but I'd prefer to see it post release for the first time.
What was the main story spoiler? I watched it to the end.
Don't click if you don't want to be spolied then
split in eldar, autarch does something fishy, which makes for a split in eldar forces with some of them going with Macha, also another pilot of Taldeer Wraithknight is Ronahn. Someone important to Solaria also gets captured, my bet is one of the blood ravens.

Macha splitting was hinted at ages ago through the Prophecy of war video and others, including the recent Farseer one.

I had a feeling about the first one after the ork mission video also people were talking about the force splitting on the forum after it. About the other two, well they are not that big spoilers in my opinion. Btw did u notice that all of the "commanders" have someone bossing over them? Gabe has the inquisitor, Gorgutz has an other warboss and Macha has this other eldar and neither of them is happy with their bosses.

I had a feeling that new Gabriel's voice actor is familiar to me. He also provided voices for The British Forces CoH2 expansion:

It would be better to know who gave voice to Gabriel in the first dow, to Gorgutz fo course and Lord Bale.
The voice of the dark eldars haemonculus and Archon were also great.
