For those of you who are hardcore Last Standers, i would like your input on what you guys think about my "crazy" idea. For those of you are hardcore LOLers, but played Last Stand and like it and would like to see improvements, please do share your input.
LS was amazing. Then came LS retribution, which basically took it to another level. Due to lack of active support, LS has progressed relatively slowly. But even with its slow progression, there is always a handful of players who enjoy it so much and are continuing to play it to date. To these hardcore players, the motivation to play another battle lies in achieving lower timed runs or higher score runs or lower timed/high score runs. These players are never getting tired nor will they ever do, its not addiction, its the gaming factor. Just like LOL players who play it game after game for countless hours, we hardcore LS players do the same.
All the above being said, I believe LS has the potential to grow tremendously. The current game mechanics are awesome. All it needs is active support and some additional game-play mechanics like;
1. More maps
2. Just a few more characters
3. Just a few more weapons
4. a new set of weapons which changes every week or month
5. hosting weekly tournaments for different types of runs or whatnot
6. more character development - aesthetics and attributions
7. higher level cap - maybe 30?
8. many more, etc
What do you guys think? Also, I understand I wrote this vaguely, if you guys have any questions, comments, etc, feel free

If you look at the way Heroes were designed in DoW3, they would all work extremely well in Last Stand mode.
I imagine the game releasing with:
All playable in Last Stand mode.
Silk
The devs already confirmed there will be no Last Stand mode when the game comes out, but that it would certainly come out later.
Meh, I agree that MOBA-players' ideas should be taken into account, but not if they changed the concept of the game. The Last Stand is more a survival, horde game than a "real" MOBA, and I like it that way.
Yes, it was one of the main problem of the mode imo: once you've completed/mastered a map, said map lost a lot of its interest (for people who were not there for the scoring)
Not sure if these two are compatible. In a way, you have just as much diversity with a few customizable characters or with many non-customizable (but unique) characters. And I think with their elite units system, they'll go the second way. So I wouldn't count on a lot of weapon choice (if any). (I'd like to have some though, both in the base game and I'd rather have no weapon option at all and many more characters available. With their elite units system, I think they'll go this way.
See @Doobeedoo 's post, I think he has the right idea of what's coming.
Eeeewwww, no, I don't want any of this in my game, thank you. What would be the point of this rotation? Plus that means a lot more work for the developers, for basically nothing really added to the game in the end.
Weekly tournaments is a bit hard for devs to put in place... Unless they just have differents ladders. A global ladder, "best teams of all time", and some others: monthly-ladder, weekly-ladder. So you can be part of the "best team of the week". If those are automated, that could work.
Hu, character development in term of plot? I don't think that's what Last Standers are in for, especially since the idea of a lone Tyranid Hive Tyrant joining an Ork and a Space Marine to fight some gaunts, then some Boyz, then some Marines seem hard to justify from a fluff point of view. The Last Stand is a fun mode, nothing more.
In terms of asthetics and skills, see points 2-3
Depend on what levelling-up bring. I feel like it would be hard to add as many weapons (at least not weapons as varied as they want them to be, see points 2-3), so would that just be grinding for the sake of grinding?
Unless they change the way leveling works. One hero of each faction unlocked at the beginning, but you have to play the game to unlock others? Hmm, now that I think of it, it's not the best way to go either, since locking-up diversity (and potentially, the most OP-heroes) behind grinding isn't a smart move. I don't know. Maybe equipment should only bring passive bonus, or change the way weapons work a bit (Gabi's hammer is more single-target focused, or can attack multiple targets, depending on what upgrade you brought to this game, for instance).
