I want to first say that I'm actually optimistic and interested in the new game mode and general gameplay.
But there is one thing that is inexcusable. This game does not look 40K. Rouge one made by Disney is more dramatic and grim than the game we have here, and I'd never thought I'd ever be saying that in my life. The graphics and art style miss the mark completely.
There is a reason I'm hitting this hard. Unlike gameplay and core mechanics, the art style can be changed without remaking the game. Take how TW adds it's gore and violence pack that visually transforms Warhammer into the game we wanted. I have hope the art style could be tweaked here before release that we at least have some semblance of a 40K theme and environment.
Simply adding map scarring that is more varied and permanent, units that get bloody and dirty, and while we can't have syn kills understandably due to the scale there is no reason units can not die dramatically and horrible depending on what kills them. We already see this when units get vaporized by the SM super weapon so it can be extended upon. I'm talking crawling and screaming marine brothers on the ground like we get in coh2 when a unit tragically hits a mine.
It's the little things that count. When I made a spleen pop out in the first dow after a chainsword SM had his way with it, that made me realize the grimdark of the universe. I'm not getting that here though.
