Overall quite happy with the direction DoW 3 is taking except their multiplayer progression system. Currently can only base this off experiences with the elite leveling component as we have yet to experience the skull progression component but if it's anything similar to the elite leveling it has me worried. So far the elite leveling system has to be one ot he worst & archaic competitve multiplayer progression systems I've seen in a long time that's not a Pay to Win system. It screams single player progression not one that's designed for fair competitive matches between equally skilled players.
Don't get me worry the elite / doctrine system actually has me very excited as it allows great army personalisation & customisation adding a great strategic pre-match layer with elite & doctrine loadouts that effects match tactics & strategies beyond just the mechanical execution of build & unit control throughout the match. For me it's bring back more of the mind games of strategy allowing players to display strategic skill of the draft/loadout that can be displayed which is separate to the execution of ones mechanical skills.
But the implementation for elite levels & leveling is just... I have no words.
First can I ask why was the choice made for in match kills/building destroyed as the only way for elites to collect experiences? For me this is a massive Red Light & What The!
