So I noticed everything is marked either Normal or Heavy armor and they all counter either Normal or Heavy armor.
- Are all Normal Armor units considered "infantry"? I think the answer is, "No."
- Along those lines, are all Heavy considered "vehicles"? I think the answer is, "No."
More questions...
- Should I always try to put "Counters Normal" units against normal armor units and "Counters Heavy" units against Heavy armor units? How much does that matter?
- Should I always put melee against ranged units?
- Is it true that some ranged units are not able to kite?
Anti-vehicle
- Does a unit need to specifically say "Anti-vehicle" to be effective against vehicles? Can other units be effective against vehicles? For example, units that counter Heavy Armor?
- What's the purpose of a "Skimmer"?
Questions about Eldar
- Why do Eldar get shields? Is this a supreme advantage or is this mechanic pretty well balanced?
- Why are all Eldar vehicles "Skimmers"?

1.1 Not quite sure, probably yes.... are there light armored vehicles?
1.2 No, there are heavy armored infantry afaik.
2.1. that would be beneficial, not too familiar with DoW3 yet, but historically, it matter a whooooole lot!
2.2. infantry units have melee and ranged dps, if you can bind stuff into melee that has tons of ranged-dps, it might even be useful to use some ranged-units in melee. Also, there are ranged units (like tactical marines) that have somewhat decent melee-dps as well.
2.3. There are some ranged units which need a short set-up time to be able to fire, so they aren't too good at kiting.
3.1 not sure, I need more testing on that. Some units have upgrades (I think for example the power swords on ASM's, that make them pretty effective against vehicles). There are also some abilities strong against vehicles, like ronhan's Q.
3.2. Skimmers are flying units that can traverse obstacles on the map.
4.1. I hope it's balanced. ^^
4.2. They are hovercrafty thingys I guess....

I think you meant it the other way around, "are all infantry units normal armor". The answer is: no, Nobz are heavy armor. This also answers question 2 I guess.
Note that I have no idea how elite work in this system: does anyone know if they have normal/heavy armor too? And does anyone know what kind of damage they deal?
There is also "true damage", which damage both normal and heavy armor, so you could always use that. But otherwise it's a better idea to use normal damage versus normal armor, and perforing damage against heavy armor, yes. Doesn't mean you can't destroy a Dreadnought with normal damage though - it would just take (a lot?) longer.
Well it's not a bad idea, but it's not always optimal either. Depends on a lot of factors actually. If your melee troops can reach ranged units without taking too much damage, I'd say it's a good move (except if your melee troops deal normal damage and the ranged unit is a tank...).
Some units have a set-up time, so these absolutely can't kite. But even with "classic" ranged units, you can't kite melee as well as in the previous games as most units don't fire on the move.

I don't think any unit has "anti-vehicle" property. They just deal piercing damage, so they're as efficient against a Predator tank or a Nobz squad.
They can fly above terrain, either to make a surprise attack or to flee an incoming enemy, so they're excellent for harassment basically.
Eldar are supposed to be the hit-and-run faction. Their regenerating shield is supposed to emphasis that: once the shield is almost depleted, they're supposed to flee.
Note that most Eldar units also have very low health: if you manage to prevent them from fleeing, they die like flies when their shields are down.
Same idea: Eldar are the hit-and-run faction, so they got the best tools to harass. (This is also coherent with the 40k-verse by the way.)

@Silk thanks so much for the info! This is great! Some units do have "anti-vehicle" in the description.
But as you pointed out, it seems Armour Piercing is the important mechanic in destroying vehicles?
Silk
Oh OK I got my terminology wrong. But I'm pretty sure those "anti-vehicle" units would do just as much damage to Nobz.
Could you find any unit with piercing damage by any chance? If not, I'm pretty sure they juste changed "piercing" to "anti-vehicle".

No idea, to be honest. But for reference DoW2 had a ton of different armor types: normal, heavy, super-heavy, vehicle, hero...
I would NOT assume that heavy infantry and vehicles share the same armor type (unless this is already known, I mean). I think we'll need to wait for some kind souls to datamine and update the dow wiki XD

I took a screencap of every unit in the Beta. All "Anti-vehicle" units either do Armour Piercing or True damage. Additionally, all "Anti-vehicle" units counter "Heavy" armor. Except the Eldar Vyper counters both Normal and Heavy armor.
Here is the link to the Excel document I started with the stats for every Unit type in the game. I'm missing full details on 2 unit types in Eldar because I forgot to unlock those.

This is already known. It has been confirmed in a dev post a few weeks ago.
The only thing I'm not sure about is how elites units work in this system. Not sure if Gabe is normal armor for instance (which would explain how tanky he is now that I think of it).
@Alexdacrazy wow, amazing job there! Thanks for sharing!
