WHat is the problem with it? Also uriel Ventris joined the Deathwatch for a mission. See no issues here.
Wrong Uriel never joined the Deathwatch, he and the 4th happened to be on Tarsis Ultra with the Mortifactors at the same time Kryptmann was there with his Kill Team.
Gabriel Angelus is a Chapter Master, as such he would not be joining the Deathwatch because it is incompatible with his position... and it goes against the lore.

Read the Book again. For the final Mission Uriel goe with the deathwatch and wear a deathwatcharmor.
Also Angelos is a Blood Raven, they always are not interestet in imperium conform working.
Dude i know the book aparently better than you, Uriel was NEVER EVER indoctrinated into the Deathwatch Ranks .. NEVER.
Having deserted his men on the battlefield just to ride on the top of a Rhino and go with the Kill Teams into the Hive Ship costed him his rank along with the one of Pasanius and they were both sent off on penance to redeem themselves for their transgressions to the Codex.
The Blood Ravens have to follow the rules just like everyone else, more or less conform its a thing that derives from which chapter we talk about but even with that taken into account having a Chapter Master as "Deathwatch" is silly at best, and no it does not look cool.
At some point before he attained his Captaincy, Ventris was seconded to the Deathwatch, the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Xenos that specialized in hunting xenos threats.
He talked about this in the Warror of Ultramar Book and he rejoined that old position to attack he hive. He even wear deathwatch armor.
Also he was thrown out from the ultramarines, not why he is doing something wrong. They fired him, because the ultramarines are slaves of the codex astartes and Ventris is not interestet in the codex and broek it severyl times.
But there are enough chapters which are independend from the codex. Like mortifactors from the same book for example.

And gabriel angelos never played by the rules.
Dude thats not even official.. someone wrote somewhere that he was seconded but in the books it isnt even mentioned...besides and more to the point, a chapter master cant be seconded to the deathwatch, the two positions just dont match at all.
Who cares if he never joined and will join a Deathwatch team, it's a freaking skin for the sake of entertaining people who like it. It harms nobody, I swear people refuse to just let others enjoy themselves if it's something -they- don't like.
Maybe it's something you get for unlocking all the Skills + Heroes. Or, like Ellie said earlier, just a preview of future DLC - make us hunger for them so that when they're finally released we won't baulk at the price so much ^^
From a Relic post concerning:
"Sorry! This content isn't available to players yet (and is not a part of the Masters of War skin pack). For now, enjoy the small tease of what's to come! "
Yep, like the NEcron DLC teaser campaignwise, or the War Skin DLC which wasn't even delivered to hundreds/thousands of pre order customers, together with the SEGA middlefinger for those customers will help this game a lot to be competitive, and have success for not die hard fans.

The masters of war skin issue sucks for those who didn't get it but that's a separate issue. This is just a tease of what is to come.

Gabriel gets a Deathwatch skin? ... Jesus Relic .. stop killing the lore.
Or given enough time GW themselves will ++heresy redacted++ all over the lore, or blow your whole planet / galaxy up. I mean they do what they want. Its just a skin, deal with it.

I believe by completing the campaign, but don't hold me on that.
ValKor01
I was hoping that would be the case, I'm running through it on hard at the moment so we shall see!

"muh lore" into skins that are purposely just to look cool. Great.

He probably just "found" the Deathwatch armor, Blood Ravens style. They did manage to "find" Custodes gear after all.

Captainlanger
There's a thing on the website that says pledge your allegiance the loyal will be rewarded. Maybe from that they will give the skins out
wongtp

I named my SM color scheme "Fabulous", and it is bold and beautiful. I prefer playing a game instead of RPing, for the most part.

Looks like the Deathwatch Skin as well as the other inaccessible skins have disappeared since I last checked, I assume the recent patch did that.
Not a good sign.
