It's pretty obvious, isn't it? I'm not asking Relic to answer at every silly comment and thread here (yes, mine included), but answer at more constructive ones like vindicarex made f.e.? Considering in what state game is atm, me, and bunch of other players are VERY curious about what Relic is doing/planning to do in near future I'm sure. Can we have a peek please?
Usually devs at least keep some blog or nicest ones have pretty straight communication with players. Nothing of a sorts here, makes you kinda, um... sad?

You mean apart from them confirming they're working on both Concede and Leaderboards? This was a part of the launch day FAQ, roughly a week or so ago.
Not every developer communicates in the same way, about the same things. Relic have been active on the vast majority of support tickets, which is time from their day and a part of their role here on the forums. It's understandable that you want more, but isn't that an acceptable level of communication?
Balance is an infinitely arguable state. Relic do read the forums, but I personally don't think that wading into (volatile) balance discussions is going to help engagement, here. Either Relic confirm exactly what players want to hear (yay), or they don't agree fully and people criticise Relic for being out of touch, or similar. Opinion post.

What about the Pre Order incident? nothing.
Connatic
I think it's too early to make that claim. Not even a week yet.

I don't think it would be incredibly valuable to wade into these waters when such a limited span of time has passed. A new meta must emerge and the public as a massive aggregation engine of data will provide resounding complaints that seem to stick around long enough to be addressed properly.. To do so too early would likely be a waste of time.
They (I'm sure have plans already) for patches.. What that entails, no idea, I'm sure it'll wait to see how things shake out.. But concede, game modes, leader boards, and 'plans to do more' have all been mentioned.
I do however think that as far as issues people are having with their product, those are things that should be addressed right away. -- I however thought they WERE addressing that already on an individual basis..

Well they opened tickets on the first day when all of the thousands with the ticket got the same copy and paste answer ,after handing sega the name of the steam account and the legit code, sega told all of us to stfu and be happy about it to make it short. the long answer is all where told ask the retailer the retailer's actually didnt know their version was not the pre order once since sega and relic advertised all who pre order get the bonus dlc. you will see thats an issue which can't be unanswered for long, and won't since legal claims are made in different countrys against sega and relic.

Can you give me the link for the Launch day FAQ or is this not for everyone?

Maybe, but it would be nice to know that Relic at least are aware of some issues, not necessarily balance related, though still quite important. Tbh I'm rather surprised at how patient and calm community around this game is, considering, well... everything.
Elkantar1981
Thing is the community of relic is very small and most of us grew old we are not 20 anymore, most of us played dow1 and all released games after it. Sadly the THQ to SEGA issue is nothing i really like but i can accept since for ca it was after the rome 2 desaster a good choice. Sadly Sega disregarded everything which is common about the dlc politics for pre order bonus and that i will never forget or forgive and i will invest more money into the lawyer then relic ever got out of me

Give it time, I can't imagine the prongs that a group of people on a team that have to interface with the public has to deal with. I'm sure there are a lot of them. When patching hits and we see what they address, or how this game shapes up over time, then we'll get the impressions of where they stand on listening to the complaints.
KommandantKavu
I'm not even sure what this means, but it sounded a little petty.. DLC Politics? I dunno, DLC sounds pretty common across the board for the last decade for titles to use to enable financial stability in continuous development. I think it's a problem of 'old hats' to keep thinking games and game development works like days of yore.. Further, while 'preorder bonuses' are sorta lame, it tends to boost sales, so it works from the perspective of the sales teams.. As much as people might want to disagree with the idea of purchasing to get those bonuses.

While Rome 2 was a 'disaster' in many of the technical ways, it seems they pushed VERY hard to patch and fix many of the bugs present in the title. This also served as a means for them to make subsequent title launches a lot more 'clean'. But, well, different teams.
Stoner
Rome 2 is still a disaster actually, but best part about it, that it has incredible mod support and generally game is singleplayer focused. I got it few months after release, and in short time most glaring issues were fixed. Then modders stepped in and made game truly exciting and well balanced (they still do). We say disaster, but iirc on release Rome II at least had all basic features every RTS should have. DOW III is still stripped. It's good to have map editor from day 1, but if Relic would just open up resources a bit, community will fix balance in no time and make it very competitive, I'm absolutely sure of that.
That being said, I'm also very curious about Relics' attitude towards modding (not maps only).
Elkantar1981
i don't have a problem with dlc's or pre order, but when they advertise all who pre order get this dlc, and don't live up to their words iam uber pissed, and i do everything to punish relic and sega for this with all by law given rights and tactics.
Razor
For many months this forum was a place for the hatred of people who can not see a spacemarine jump under any circumstances, its no wonder the devs keep quiet in a forum like this.
Wa2Magge
Have so much Hope in Relic, im sure they will cooperate with us to make this game much better as it is now, and now it has a very solid Basic structure. Relic i believe in you.
KommandantKavu
It certainly depends on what was promised and how you purchased your content. If you pre-ordered through a re-seller who in no way could make that promise themselves, then I'm not sure who the blame lies on. -- I guess good luck on that class action.
Elkantar1981
you can easily check the announcement of this forum then you see actually the false advertisement
KommandantKavu
If I misrepresented it, then explain, I'm pretty sure it said get these 3 skins with preorder. Is that not what it said? And I'm saying if it was purchased through a particular type of reseller who couldn't GIVE preorder bonuses, that's on the reseller.
KommandantKavu
Seeing the posts here: https://community.dawnofwar.com/discussion/11028/pre-order-skins/p4 -- It looked like they ticketed the individuals it happened to.. I'm pretty sure an acknowledgement in itself is enough to show they're 'doing' something. I don't know how LONG you wait until it's no longer good faith on their behalf. -- The game has been out what, a week now?
PrimaGoosa
I would bet money against you that the community not only wouldn't fix balance quickly, but wouldn't fix it to the satisfaction of a large community probably ever. Much as people laud the DoW 2: Elite Mod for good reason, I saw a very large amount of complaining on YouTube comments about how Nobz were broken. Others would chime in and talk about how you might counter them, but therein lies the rub:
You aren't going to please everyone. And you especially aren't going to do it "in no time". Not even remotely.
Elkantar1981
well you saw the sega reply to us?
Sega says NOPE YOU DON'T GET IT, to say it shortly
, can you highlight me the part where it is written that i have to steam pre order to get the bonus?
PrimaGoosa
Where's that Sega reply? Can you link it?

What a funny little roadrager post. Do you guys even realize you are talking about three 1$ Skins? If something went wrong, they most likely didnt mess it up on purpose. I bet you are even still playing their game.
If it was me, i would literally kick your ++heresy redacted++. And before you start a shitstorm campaign you should make sure you cant be sued for it.
Some people are just so spoiled, its embarassing.
Elkantar1981
you can try to kick anything but when you let a company slip with this behaviour and don't act, you can expect abuse of such things increase. so in the end i do this cause i have principles and thats why i will fight company's by law giving rights to counter act. i don't care if you like it but in the end without people who have the money and will to fight for clean business practices you wouldn't have those laws, agency's and righteous causes. in the end many people would endure bad business practices, without the will to fight the world would be more grimdark. and in the end we are nothing more then cattle's, ok we are already but we would see it everywhere and feel it
Sega's Support replied to all tickets the same copy answer you see it in the pre order dlc thread of this forum.
Algorithm
Thats why you chose to waste your energy on such meaningless issue instead of more important problems we got in our world? SeemsGood. I'd still kick you out of the door.
Use some brain. Why would they scam you on the skins, especially when other people replied they have received their dlc by now. Do you think they call upon you will spend another 3$ for the skins? That would do much more damage to their company than profit. Especially for a digital product. Obviously something went wrong on either your end, Steam or Relic and Retail sellers.
Take one of these:
Elkantar1981
thanks for your kind words
but i prefer to do the necessary things in my opinion. we don't know whats behind this decisions if its a solo decision of a sega support who wanted to screw his company but what we know so far is that nobody get answers since nearly a week after the first reply
