I agree. I'd thought that Autosave was a standard feature in most modern RTS games. It sure does hurt the first time you fail a mission and realize there was no savepoint.

Again, it is shift + F5 to autosave.
All you're doing is stating quick save, that's nothing to do with Autosave, just because it calls it Autosave in the game doesn't make it that, an Autosave is a save that is either created every X amount of minutes and/or created when events happen in a map, but something even sadder about the save system, and frankly feels like going back to the stone age of gaming, is that when you save the game manually, it doesn't give you a list of saves you've already created, so you can double click to overwrite etc, no you have to type out a name each and every time with no list, I can't even remember the last game that lacked such a basic save menu

The feature is called Autosave ingame (shift + F5). If you are referring to another type of system, like a Word document that autosaves for you every time you enter a new word, etc that's not in the game. Also - the missions are short enough that you shouldn't need to save that often. What would be the point of autosaving so many saved games - replay favorite moments again and again? If you haven't noticed Dawn of War 3 is really geared towards unlocking and playing multiplayer online.
The campaign is there to tell a story. For the longer missions there are checkpoints, and you can manually save or autosave (shift + F5) after them.

the game needs an auto save, it has a quick save...
it is not for u to decide what we do or do not need according to ur own sense of how short the levels are... the auto save should be there for the people that forget to save, yet have reached some kind of point in the level where they achieved something.
biggest example is playing the final level on hard and u just finished one section and moving on to another. imagine how someone would feel if they forgot to save and get defeated on the next phase? they would have to redo the entire section all over again? they must be punished for forgetting to save? really?

It is not for you to decide what my opinion on autosave is or is not. if you are not competent enough of a player to finish the campaign without the game helping you with 'autosave' moments that is really something YOU need to improve.
Given your attitude towards me I don't think I will follow that link. maybe you can learn something before coming at me with a holier-than-thou attitude.
