Now i know the Title is rather not normal il say, since 1v1 really depend on the Situation either you get eldars that Spam rangers or an orc that just goes imba on the boys 300 REQ for a melee Squad + waagh tier 1 is really really strong.
Now i found a way of countering the Rangers once you kill their rangers they mostly DC, but found nothing vs orks.
Now, i play alot of 1v1 and only roll 2v2 or 3v3 to level up late game elites such as the paladin or solaria the big ones that you know of.
in 1v1 against almost every Race i roll,
Then i see how the game is going and i mostly stick to that, since we no longer have Terminators for the Late game most of the time thats enough and ASM + some Dregs are good enough if considered not doing any Whirldwinds or Landspeeders becuse people say they are good but i cant imagine what they mean, i used landspeeders in a 1v1 3 times and even used the Lone wolf Doctrine that makes them stronger when fighting alone but to no good.
Since Tankbustas and even god ++heresy redacted++ rangers hurt the landspeeder alot.
And in general the only Vehicles i build are the Dregs becuse For the Emperor ofc, and sometimes Predators becuse they have really High damage but are made of dog ++heresy redacted++.
This was just a small idea of what i do most of the times and would apreciate ur tactics for 1v1, since i do not encounter many sms playing 1v1.
In general my Opinion is SM feel really wierd in Dawn of war 3, loved them in dow1 loved them even more in dow2 with my Hairgel fist killing all those vehicles and really cant sort my feelings out in Dow3.

Your opening seems good to me. I think that SM have some possible openings, we have quite some options.

After that, it's a matter of reading the game. For Orks some snipers work good. An early speeder is always good, have in mind that you can directly harass the enemy base (not the core, the main building) with speeders while outside of turret range in 2 of the 3 maps. That messes them real good and puts them on the defensive.
A Dread or two are almost mandatory if you think you can nail his coffin in T2. If you can't, then... WWs are great for massed infantry. And/or a dread in droppod can be great to win some engagement while going T3 for the bombardment and predators. But unless the game is going incredibly even, you won't probably reach T3. I think I've built predators in just a couple 1vs1 games only.
Also, don't forget Deathstorms! Incredibly good to mix with vehicles as you'll have extra res (if you're not losing half your army in each fight, that is XD). For 500/50 (and a freaking long build time) you get a cheap version of orbital bombardment that utterly kills any infantry in its landing zone. They're great for the final push in an even match if you don't have an overwhelming army.

Also, have in mind that Predators have different armor in front that in sides/rear. They can take a punch as long as it hits their front, and they melt if they get hit in the rear

Yea ive used that tactic myself but i dont really like playing with it even tought its probably the strongest tactic out there.
Im really having fun using the flamers since if you land them good enough you just see all those Units turning to ashes.

im bored of the "asm" core dynamic that is there now. anyone got a way of playing that doesnt fall into who has more asm

ikr, but thats is really the strongest tact there is in 1v1 currently if you want to even be able to win games.
If you dont like the asm you can roll with tact flamers but if you lose them you lose alot of power and probably will start falling down, but anyways you will eventually go for ASM anyways so you dont really have a choice haha

Just hope we get some buffs to other units when they overnerf ASM as I´m sure they will XD
On a more serious note, check "RTS Cult" guy on youtube ( @n0ave_ here I think) , he has a couple videos of "scout spam into really early speeders and dreads". IMHO you need godlike micro for that to work, but sounds like fun
