Hello,
i am a bit confused how the shield system is working, as its current state i observed as for Spacemarines/orks for example the Dmg type normal against a tank with shield ignores heavy armor as long shield are up, right?
I am not shure in this case but i also observed such things on eldar units in l8ter game.
I would like a comment or anyting else to know - it would however change my entire gameplay....
mybe a dev or someone else can tell.

we actually dont know if shields have armor types like the unit or not. what we now is that shield get all damage before your units bleeds. Under webway you restore shields faster.

Pretty sure shields have armor type as well ,since it says so in the tooltips. X Shield ( Heavy Armor) for vehicles ect.

I would not be surprised if the tooltip was wrong, cos vehicle shields seem to go down pretty fast vs small arms fire. But in principle you're right and that's what the game says.

@redScare Most eldars have more shield than HP but not the vehicles, maybe it's why you feel like it.
Vyper: 375 hp / 125 shield
Falcon: 1350 hp / 450 shield
Fire prism: 750 hp / 300 shield

I thought i was the only one observing this, thx for confirmation, but when it comes to comparation any eldar tank unit vs example the SM cybot (had a game where 5 devastor units fired aganst a cybot and deal close to relative no damage, while firing against wraiths the shield drops in no time , it feels like the heavy armor on shield does not count ...
