I want to see Tau ...
But you can add a new race.
Well the game needs proper evil races, we got Eldar which are not exactly evil, same with space marines. Orcs are not ''evil'' either, they are just chaotic in nature.
We need evil races, so necros, dark eldar, chaos marines, even tyranids. Once two evil races have been added I think Tau or imperial guard could make an entrance!

In all fairness, Orks are evil. All they want to do is fight and kill and destroy. To any sane person you can see how this would be considered evil. They don't provide anything useful for a society. Eldar aren't on the human's side, but they aren't evil, like you said.
So currently we have "good," "evil," and simply a xenos enemy. I agree that we need more evil dudes.
Chaos all the way. Let the Necron continue to sleep. Chaos deserves to be in the next DLC. Chaos deserves to be the next army in DoW. Chaos has a rightful place as part of the main 4 armies in this game because 1) they have been in all of the other games as part of the main 4 and 2) they are the enemy to mankind.
My vote is that Chaos, Imperial Guard, and anything else (Necron are fine) also, preferably another evil army. I'd love to see them all at once, but if it's one at a time I think Necron ought to wait it out.
Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Eldar, Orks, Chaos, and Necron would be a good list of 6 armies. Good, good, neutral-good, neutral-evil, evil, evil.
Probably have been aired before, but my bets are on IG and Chaos as first races in DLC. They already have Guardsmen and Bloodletters models in the game, plus some buildings that may be used for Chaos. Rumors say there are more IG models buried in game resources, so if that's true, it's a safe to assume IG comes first. Necrons are only teased as art image, so I wouldn't wait them sooner than 3rd expansion or so (might take very long time). Still, all these races are under big question mark, because if game wouldn't have enough success and be seen as profitable business wise, I don't think we'll see prolonged support and any new content.
Personally I'd wish to see new races in that particular order:
Chaos
Tau
Tyranids (would fit perfectly well in this game)
Necrons
Dark Eldar
But do not really hope for it.
Regarding "good" and "evil". In W40k universe every race is completely evil beyond any sense. Imperium treats their own citizens worse than enemies sometimes. Eldar would butcher everyone that isn't Eldar and sometimes even their own for idiotic reasons. Tau will bring their "Greater Good" in Battlesuits with Pulse Rifles, and purge everyone who isn't agree with their idea of "Greater Good". No comment on Chaos, Orks, Dark Eldar, Tyranids or Necron, who devour entire stars which dooms every living thing in system to certain death...

So probably we will get Necrons/ Chaos hopefully with few campaign missions
im ok with that ---> Necrons -----> Chaos -----> TAU -----> IG.
Adeptus Mechanicus is a major faction within the Imperium, as important as Adeptus Astartes or Astra Militarum, even though they’re not as present in the battlefield as those two. Nevertheless they have enough units, particularly since the addition of Legiones Skitarii and if you take some 30k models, and enough background to be an interesting addition to DoW3.
Adepta Sororitas is however a faction within the Adeptus Ministorum, which makes it a minor faction.
Chaos has the most stuff right now, including voice lines for fighting Chaos units, so I'm guessing they're up first.
Sisters of Battle might be a minor faction in the grand scheme of things, but they do have a Codex of their own and are a full-fledged army. I do very much want to play them in the game.
Tau would be great, they were very interesting to play in DoW1. Driving a Skyray around and blowing up Orks will be my next decision if Relic, SEGA and Games Workshop hear our calls.
All i gotta say is I will fanboy hard if Relic let's Tau be in the game, let alone be one of the earlier races. I love my Noblebright blue skinned hoofed friends.
Death to the Tau, silly new xenos think they can walk in to our galaxy. I say we bring back the Squats lets do something meaningful and different. Also give me my Ultramarine elites (and better skins) and Tyranids.
Tyranids give me The Last Stand flashbacks. Floating and flying Tyranids in the Bloodied Colosseum are the Tyranid's most advanced technology. Orks have also stolen this tech.
There is a skin that is not yet selectable, which can be seen in the campaign, for the orks leader, who has a dead swarm tyrant in his head ... Which makes us think that maybe tyrannies have them sooner than we think . On the other hand the revelation of the credits and the maps of the campaign with a clear necronatic theme make it quite clear that they have awakened from their lethargy and we will have them very soon too. Chaos and the Imperial Guard are possible factions, but if I had to opt for some, I would prefer that the Marines of Chaos arrive first, by the type of game they can give.
Necrons, tau, chaos, ig, tyranids. Probably dark eldars. These factions have different mechanics.
Sisters of battle is a female version of SM. Don't want them.
Chaos Deamonkin and Crons next. Neat Chaos Deamonkin mechanic: extra req for unit losses, but also weaker units. So basically they would be mechanically inclined to throw wave upon wave of units at you, because they get sent back to the warp and then more deamons come in.
Sisters of battle is a female version of SM. Don't want them.
By that logic CSM should be excluded too, as they are just spiky marines.
I'd really like them to split Chaos into Demons and Renegades/CSM, especially the latter have some very cool units that might not make in into the game when demons take up those slots.
@Krupp I really, really, really hope that they don't split Demons and Chaos. Once you take the daemons out of the CSM army than they really do start to resemble space marines. Sisters of Battle are completely different. Sisters of Battle are like female guardsmen wearing power armor and using bolters. Sisters are weaker than SM and all of them are sort of psykers with their magical/divine abilities. They have unique vehicles and equipment and they have very interesting units, such as close ranged shooty jump infantry.
CSM are my all time favorite, but once you take out the daemons all you are left with are demonically infused vehicles which aren't all that cool. The defiler is wicked, but the others that have been added are just kind of lame. CSM were amazing with their daemon allies. I really do not want to see forgefiends, maulerfiends, heldrakes, or mutilators.
Fair enough, I was mostly making a point about SoBs being too similar to Space Marines to include, which I disagree with.
And I want to split CSM and Demons so we can see more cool Demonic units (although there aren't that many).

Sisters of Battle are super unique, I wanted to first and foremost emphasize my agreement with you.
I think that the daemons army is lacking and it's because there were never enough to make a full army and so they've added a bunch and some of them are weird and others are either not as useful or they overlap too much. Chaos Space Marines with the demons offered a large variety of options, they were a huge army but when they were split they became much smaller.
Ad Mech has the problem of being too new and as a standalone army it's ulmost unknown outside of TT players. I know it's fairly popular with TT players, but most others only know it as the support faction for the other armies of the Imperium.
@Krupp WHFB daemons and W40K daemons are pretty much the same thing with different rules. Neither of them were a large enough army to be their own, but when mixed with the humans of chaos they were becoming quite a large selection, especially with 4 different deities that needed to have some semblance of equality. They split them in two and simultaneously added daemons to fill in the gaps.
The daemons are a full army, unless you want to play mono-god which doesn't work very well (depending on the god). Mono-god worked because the humans and the daemons complimented each other. The CSM army, now without any daemons (except Daemon Princes), are a little lame. The daemons have been replaced with spirit-successors of the defiler, just more daemon-engines, none of which are as cool or unique as the defiler.
They've left so much out of DoW3, though, that they could easily fill a CSM roster without any daemons and then also fill the daemon roster with daemons. I just don't think CSM would be that different from SM without having a bunch of bs added to them.... because that bs used to be daemons.
