Either my game is messed up, or people are really not playing this game. The patch is actually decent from what I am seeing, but I don't see any spike in games. Are schools not out?

Actually it might be worth mentioning that the player count just dipped under 1k. Was pulling matches but man has it slowed down. And im panicking
Dont panic. Not everyone is as avid as some to jump on the computer the second a new patch comes in. Also its still weekdays. People gotta work and make a living. I got a few games today and had a good time in costum games.
Meh, I just click on Quick match, wait a bit, and I get a game. Don't have to worry about the player base that way =p.
I admit I had those wild dreams where DoW3 would become the next e-sports phenomenon similar to what SC2 did, with a tremendous player base, with international tournaments watched by thousands or millions and stuff, but that's obviously not going to happen so no point in tracking the player count. As long as you can get a game going and the community is not entirely made of hardcore veterans who pwn you in 3 minutes with worker units only, I'm totally fine with that state.

You mean like they did with DoW2? I would really like to play it sometimes and I could bear the long wait time, if it weren't for the fact that once I get a match I'm destroyed within 2 minutes
game launched without so many of the basic things, like adjustable scroll speed, rotatable camera and so on. Relic would have to be very transparent and work together with the community if they want to get more people to be interested in the game.
Seems like patch didn't bring any new players at all... Situation seems like pre-patch and maybe even some decline. That's bad.
When I got into DOW II MP, it was on Retribution launch, and finding game through auto-match was almost impossible a month after, but game kept alive by custom matches with Obs mode. I think sooner or later quick match will be completely deserted, so Relic needs to push Observer ASAP. This way we'll keep lots of folk playing because matches will be much easier to find and community will be more tight. Plus this way people would be actually able to enjoy new content in form of maps (at least) since it takes over a month for Relic to port one already existing map into another vs. mode lol.
im still finding games in under 3 minutes using Quickmatch. I'm having a blast, but I cant deny being a little worried about the game's future given the low player numbers.
I never suspected the patch to bring new players. Just raise the number of current players play time a little... I doubt you'd even know about the patch unless your already sold on dow3.
New content will though - just needs some good marketing and a supportive effort from the existing community .

I predicted this same thing happening and got flamed a lot for it. And make the dlc cheap for the people who bought the full price original title or some such discount because people won't want to pump money into a game they've lost faith in unless they can do it on the cheap.
Certain things were bearable before the patch, now I just can't enjoy what I am seeing or playing.
Do not want to play it anymore, and this is such a shame.
The Devs want to stick to their guns then fine, the Results will speak for themselves.

What that patch changed that you don't find it anymore? Ah it nerfed the Eldar.
I understand, but why you can't try to adapt and change tactics with Eldar race like a real player does? You can't just depend on a single build all the time.

Probably best to wait until the weekend player numbers come in before panicking.
