Economy and Rage Quits, lets have a second though if the design makes sense.
I was by friend (lan party for some games) did try it for another time,
play 1vs1 on map "K'Homet's Pass", with 8 resource locations.
Did take the 2 middle points and my enemy rage quit.
So what's up with the quits ? In DOW1 and 2 you take resource locations too,
but I did never seen them instant to give up. And as long its not an early game rush,
C&Cs and Starcraft 2 players do continue to fight, even by losing a lot of their stuff.
For me It's actually my mayor point, why I did not get the game.
In my opinion in DOW3, it's not how economy should work in RTS games.
Unlike SC2 and C&C, you don't have to build there infrastructure or chain up the workers to gather resources.
MOBAs don't really bother about resource location, your stuff is simply generated, no matter how much of map you control.
DOW economy is based on Resource points and you have there simply more locations.
In DOW1 you had a lot of points to collect for yourself,
in DOW2 you share and still have way more Resource points/locations than in DOW3.
In my opinion if they do a new gameplay mod, this should be reworked. #
It just doesn't make sense continue to fight with less resources than my enemy.
Because he will simply build up much larger army.
With more resource locations you can fall back, regroup and counter attack.
