Do you think online play has been catering too much to marine players? Most people play marines, and the marine subforum is the only of the races who is (somewhat) alive. Do you think Relic undermines Eldar and Orc players because their opinions are overshadowed by (or not as numorous as) marines?
Interested what all levels of players think.

A poster from relic talking about this in a previous post, not sure exactly which one. They say that regardless of what changes have been made space marine has always had a high pick rate, because they are just very popular.

i don't think it has "catered" more to Space Marine players, than to the two other races. They have the same picks, amount of doctrines etc. Maybe they've been worked through more thoroughly, being the "favorite" race, but that doesn't mean that the rest of the races are lacking.
Spirit
Space marines was always the most played race in every dow game. Maybe cause they are a human like race and also they have a pretty cool lore.

Space marine is the posterboy of 40k.
Only 3 races kinda limits things too.
Need to note though that SM are a pretty easy race to play. Pretty straight forward.
Stoner
Race picks have absolutely nothing in common with balance, especially currently.

It shouldn't be. My question was if it was.
Marines are super popular, and I wish relic comes with new races so it'll create some diversity.
Dullahan
SM has always been most popular.
In DoW2 retribution it broke down as follows:
SM was 40%
Chaos was 20%
IG was 20%
Eldar was 12%
Orks were 5%
Tyranids were 2%
In Vanilla DoW2 before Chaos and IG, SM was 60%.

Played yesterday and i find that fire on the move for space marine to be pretty brutal in mirrors or vs orks cause as you are retreating you are still getting shot up pretty good. There are ways to mitigate this by lobbing grenades or CC but when you dont have it or your abilities are on cool down it usually will wipe a squad or 2 out.

I don't think Relic undermines any player's preferences, because the spaces to be a community of that ilk are there, available.
True, perhaps Space Marines are more popular than any other facet, however, this is true and has been true ever since the creation of Warhammer and Warhammer 40K.
Space Marines are the defenders of Humanity, which happens to be, in real life, us.
Having said that, just because there are other Humans that choose to align with other races, doesn't mean they are overshadowed or undermined. Because as I say, there is space for those people to express that and share those choices, preferences etc.. in the latest game, you see three races. Now one could say, what about Necrons? OR Hey.. us Tyranid fans are left a little empty handed!
But no anything, I believe, can be achieved and I don't think anything or anyone is shut out in the cold.
